Shleu-shleu, the Haitian Forerunner of What in Nyc Became Ska-shah #1, was One of the Great Bands. Their Combination of Swing and Delicacy was One Reason, but from this Distance What Stands Out from that Pre-funk Era is their Strong Creole Flavor, Not Just in the Melodies but in the Wonderful Solo Sax, a Style No Longer Heard.
