Album Description

This project became a first-time attempt to connect the story of Kamehameha's written musical history with a recording of the songs and sounds that are the essence of that story.

Na Mele Ho'oheno offers the listener the oppurtunity to experience traditional Kamehameha music intellectually, visually and through sound. It is a memorable jouney that you will not regret embarking upon.

This music will haunt you.

I live on the mainland now but this music brought back wonderful memories of the islands of Hawai'i. The King Kamehameha schools are to be commended for their *outstanding* achievement in preserving and continuing the wonderful tradition of Hawaiian choral singing. The students sing beautifully. They sing with their whole heart.
I definitely recommend this cd.

Great CD!I was looking for a CD that included a wide range of Hawaiian music. This is not the "Don Ho" tourist CD (if that is what you are looking for) but rather a CD that captures the beauty of the Hawaiian language and music.
