The first recording of Root Music was made possible by the non-profit organization known as Bayahonda, a Cultural Foundation. The idea of Root Music is to continue the contribution being made to the development and consolidation of genuine musical groups in relation to the massive diffusion of different aspects of popular culture. Root Music has brought great variety into the music industry. People were tired of the same Latin music like Merengue and Salsa so when this was introduced it started a cultural phenomenon and will as well continue.

A1A Productions, Inc. was established in 1992. For the starting years of A1A we concentrated mainly on distribution of latin music in the formats of compact disc (CD) and cassette (Cass). As the years went on we entered the area of production. There were many projects in which we got into but unfortunately weren’t successful. It was until the last year or so that we have been successful in this region. We started off with Musica Raiz. This group is like no other of its time. With this group we’ve introduced the genre of Palos to the music industry. Further on we obtained Anntony. Only six months since its release and we’ve had a positive outcome. We continue to push our products until they become a hit. It’s our goal. What’s the use of having an artist/group that’s not going to be promoted, is the same as having nothing.

A taste of afro-dominican music.......2005-03-05

This CD contains great Dominican folkloric music. It exposes its listeners to the richness of Dominican culture, a culture very much influenced by its african ancestors. Unfortunately music with obvious african elements is at times discarded by an ignorant crowd who labels the music satanic and claim that it worships evil spirits. Yes the music is very powerful, it just reflects the spirit of the people that sing,dance, and listen to it. Anyone that listens to this CD with an open mind will certainly appreciate the beautiful rhymthmic sequences of each track. Buy the CD you won't regret it.

Does Not Worship God.......2004-04-06

I personally do not like this CD because it does not worship the Lord in anyway. It uses witchcraft and things related to it. Even though many may not notice it and may just think it's music, it can certainly bring up bad spirits. This is not religious talk... this is the truth.

Enerolisa will make you dance until you drop. If you are in carnival mood, then this is a CD you MUST own. I blast it on my car's CD player and drive. I assure you that your adrenaline level will go to heights it has never reached before. If anybody has volume 1 please get in touch with me.
