This boxed set is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made. As a Purcell freak, this hits every button I have. The cast of characters include the inequitable Robert King, New College Choir, Bowman, and a host of other venerable persons. Likewise the attention to period performance of these works makes it an essential addition to the library of any serious anglophile/Musicologist etc. Now if only the Britten Realizations of all Purcell's songs could be recorded alongside the originals! You will Love this set!

Percy Faith blends two award winning Broadway Shows together "Subways Are For Sleeping" (originally released on Columbia Records CS 8533 in 1961) and "Do I Hear A Waltz?" I haven't stop dancing since I received my CD. The music is up-beat and modern. It will definately make you move. Once you get up to start dancing, you can't sit down. One of the best zydeco artist on the current circuit. You have to get this release.

Step's Best Work So Far!.......1999-12-12

I have been a fan of Step Rideau and the Zydeco Outlaws since I purchased their CD "Standing Room Only." "I'm So Glad" has quickly become my favorite. Some tunes are folksy with a zydeco flare and others are very zydeco. This is a "must buy" for zydeco lovers. If the Grammys had a catagory for zydeco, Step would win for performer of the year.

A MASTERPIECE! JOAN MORRIS AT HER PEAK!.......2000-04-30

I have been a Joan Morris fan for over 20 years and own many of her superb albums. More than any others, "Let's Do It: Live in Aspen" is a dazzling tour de force for Ms. Morris and her accompanist/husband, William Bolcom.

No singer can match Joan Morris's vocal and interpretive skills. Her phrasing and timing are impeccable! She can take a song you've heard a million times (by others) and make it breathtakingly unforgettable. Examples on this disc include "Always," "Bill," "Let's Do It" and - my favorite - "On the Banks of the Wabash." And William Bolcom's lilting piano composition, "Graceful Ghost," written in his father's memory, will knock your socks off!

In short, treat yourself to this CD!
