Editorial Reviews
Sergio Hernn Bermejo Malevo was born in Buenos Aires Argentina. He felt attached to music, especially to piano, since he was five years old. His music grew together with sequencers, samplers and computers without putting aside his piano, guitar, drums and bass studies.
At the age of fifteen he records his first album with the group Reverendos Hijos. In 1991 he records his first soloist album Malevo House Music where he mixes native sound with European avant-Garde achieving something innovative and unknown in Argentina. In 1993 he records his third album La LLave (The Key), this time with a hard rock and grunge style. In 1997 he records Malevo, a dance music record. Mysterious and sophisticated, Tangos evolution reached his summit with Astor Piazzolas performance opening a path which only few dared to follow. One of them is Sergio Malevo who managed to compose contemporary Tangos with a futurist view without turning to old formulas, which take actually out of a style in continuous evolution. With a refined aesthetic and sensual, relaxing and harmonic rhythm Malevo has created a new and exiting atmosphere in Tecno-Pop Music: Malevo Evolution Tango his last album released this year at age 25 in New York City by Manhattan Records is, according to Antonio Agri legendary Astor Piazzolas violinist, the Tango of the future.
