It's an excellent album........2005-07-28

I love French affair, the other review says this girl does not have an excellent voice; maybe is it right, but she's so sesy, and I love the way she sing. Since I heard "My heart goes boom" I liked her. Anyway, I think the best of French Affair is not this album. The best are her other hits like "I like That", or Comme ci Comme ca" besides "Sexy". Anyway this is dance, and it is so good to know more about it, because it is really hard to listen this kind of music in the USA.

Disappointing gamble..........2002-05-02

I first heard Barbara Alcindor's lilting French voice on the radio ("My Heart Goes Boom - la di da da").

I purchased this CD to see if any other tracks were worth having. This CD is better than mediocre, but not fantastic.

Be warned the radio mix you hear on the radio isn't on this CD. There are two versions of "My Heart Goes Boom," the original, and a mix that is similar to the radio mix (but targeted at DJs - with a long introduction and beat-heavy transitions).

In all fairness, Barbara Alcindor does have a great voice, and at some points she comes across as erotic on top of bass-driven music. Alcindor's remake of Nancy Sinatra's "These boots were made for walking" is interesting.

If you like the radio mix, you are far better off seeking out the single.

This is a great track for struting your stuff to. As soon as you hear it it makes you want to dance. It is very popular in the clubs of scotland at the moment with everywhere you go seems to play it. It is also hard to find on the shelfs.

Great song, good beat to dance too. Has a great euro taste to it. A good mix of english and french intertwined in the song. Very Fun!

Just got back from Germany were this single is hot. Once of those songs that you can't get out of your head. You can pick up the single in any German record store. But if your not able to travel, you might just want to order it here.

I felt a need to write a better review for this single, becauseI really hated [another review I once saw]. If you like the rest of French Affair's songs, you'll probably like this one too. Not as great as 'My Heart Goes Boom' but, that same kinky sexy voice. Good beat, something fun to dance to. I like this poison.
