Healing Garden Relaxation CD Review.......2006-03-16

The Healing Garden series of CD's are awesome! I have enjoyed every one that I have purchased so far. The relaxation CD is one of my favourites. This is the second one purchased -- wore out the first one from playing it sooooo many times.

Best ever for massage!.......2005-11-20

I got this cd some time ago and really liked it alot. I have massage business, and my clients say they like this one most. They don't feel bored to death by slow or repeating sounds or feel like I'm trying to put them to sleep. The cd is long enough they don't hear it starting or stopping. I'm not sick of this cd either. I have a large collection of music and some cd's have to go. I don't want to hear them again and at first I liked them too. This one is a must if you do massage and don't want your clients to be zombies leaving. I have had many ask for the title and have given them for gifts to my clients.

Relaxing or annoying?.......2005-07-01

I bought this CD from Zellers for just $7, thinking I was getting a good deal. I figured that since I like relaxing, kind of New Age-y music, this would be a good one for me to buy. I turned out to be wrong. The sound effects either sound really fake or like something from a cartoon science-fiction movie. The instruments are obviously from a synthesizer. There is a sound error in Track 3. The melodies themselves are repetitive, unoriginal, and are almost identical to other tracks on the disc. I only listen to this CD for laughs now. And soon after, I realized the songs are exactly like the ones from my mom's yoga DVD.

Soothing music that is nice for the price .......2005-01-23

We own about 7 of the titles in this Healing Garden Series. They do all sort of "sound alike" as another reviewer stated, but they accomplish the purpose for us.

When my kids are wound up or having a hard time sleeping, I let them choose which Healing Garden they want to listen to. Just telling them that I am putting in "relaxation" for them seems to set the stage for them to begin to relax. The music is pleasant and soothing and they have no trouble falling asleep with it playing softly in the background.

There are many similar albums out there but they always seem to cost quite a bit more (around $9 or $10) so I think these are a good deal.

This is my favorite of the many great CD's by Deuter that I own. I find Deuter's music simple, yet evocative and interesting. Garden of the Gods is compelling as well. It isn't so good as "background music" because it grabs your attention so completely. I love the vocal sounds of both people.

Delicious.......2005-08-31

Garden of the Gods is a spiritual and emotional experience, NOT musical "wallpaper". I teach T'ai Chi Chih which, among other things, is a moving meditation on joy and gratefulness. This beautiful soundtrack with its ethereal vocal and instrumental lines helps us to recognize this sense of joy and build upon it. This is by far my favorite "New Age" CD.

My Favorite CD!!!!.......2004-11-29

This is by FAR my favorite CD in my collection! I use it for meditation and also just when I need a lift. I recommend it highly and hope that others get as much from it as I do. My only problem is that is CD has set the bar that new ones are not messuring up. I would love any suggestions!

Very Dull.......2007-02-21

I think I am being generous with one star here.
David and Steve excel in some genres but should stay away from pure environmental efforts. The waterfall/stream sounds on this CD are loud, harsh, and overdone. The sounds are monotonous and just go on and on and on until you just can't stand it anymore. I have a fair number of music/nature compilations so I know what I'm talking about...this one becomes just plain annoying after a while. There is nothing soothing or serene about it at all.
If you are looking for the absolute best quality nature recordings blended with music, seek out any of Dan Gibson's work and go no further.

Best CD I've found for getting to sleep.......2006-06-16

I have purchased about a half dozen relaxing/meditative CDs, have a clock with "relaxing sounds", and listened to many more CDs. However, Garden of Serenity is the ONLY music I've found which calms my mind at the end of the day and sends me off into a quick, peaceful sleep. It's almost pavlovian - I hear the first four notes and I'm instantly relaxed. I highly recommend this as a sleep aid.

As a massage therapist I was a little worried about buying this because one reviewer was annoyed by the chimes - but they aren't really annoying in the least. I not only use this for my own clients, but I will put it on for myself when I receive one. I'm going for Volume II.

Garden of Serenity.......2002-07-12

My tri yoga instructor uses this in our sessions. It allows you to breathe with the music at your own pace and is conducive to working toward slower, fuller breaths. The music is very tranquil.

Love it, Love it, Love it!.......2000-05-05

This CD is great for meditation, realaxation, unwinding. I use it with my clients when I do visualization exercises with them, and they love it, too. I am excited to see there is a Part II, and am ordering it NOW!

I have a massage business and this is a favorite of mine. It's one I can listen to over and over. Has a slight asian flavor to it but not through out the entire cd. My clients like it, has good variety and a nice pace.

This has to be nepotism in work because I have all of the albums and they all sound the same.....cheap and repetitive. Boring enough, though, to help you get to sleep at night (at least my dog thinks so).

Not That Healing.......2003-11-04

I bought this CD to help soothe my 6-year old to sleep. Some of the tracks on this CD are quite nice (Beside Still Waters; Pure Aromas; Tranquility; Soothing the Soul; Peaceful Slumber; Serene Dreams; and Thoughtless Sleep)- soft, relaxing music soothes the mind, body and spirit as claimed. But the first 4 tracks (Lazy Days; Sweet Dreams; Tranquil Sleep; and Moonbeams) have annoying high-pitched synthesized sounds that are anything but soothing (what were they thinking?) As for my daughter, she still isn't sleeping well.

I love this album! It's wonderful for housework, and I use it nearly all the time when I walk for exercise. Just the right tempo. A Latin / flamenco feel that gets you going!
