Mechwar - One of Fairuz's best cds.......2001-05-03

Hi!My name is Amir Haidar, I live in Lebanon, and I am a great fan of Fairuz. I have been to three of her concerts and I have all her cds, & I must admit that this is one of her best. First of all, the cd's quality is unbeleivable, the songs being between 1955-1962.The music is breathtaking. It is from Lebanon, but the music is not the traditional arabic music. The Rahbani Brothers have their own way of music, and it is out of this world!!! And Fairuz's voice!What can I say? It is too breathtaking for words!!It is spectacular, amazing,enchanted,spellbounding,and so,so perfect!! I love this cd. I recommend every person who likes to dream to buy. If you have already bought this cd and liked it(which I am sure you will),you should buy for Fairuz:"Ya tara nessina", and "Ishar".

The Arab World's Top Singer Enchants the Soul.......1999-12-23

This compilation of some of Fairouz's oldies is a remarkable CD. Her incredible voice, spanning an amazing range, accompanied by the music of the Rahbani Brothers, carries one into a dream world. What I liked best about the collection is that all the songs are soft and romantically poetic. This is the perfect CD for a romantic evening.
