Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Great CD!.......2002-12-26

I have had "Cosmic Rhythm Vibrations" for a couple years now and I still love it. I have given this CD as a gift to many close friends and they all end up telling me how much they enjoy the music.. I even gave a copy as a gift to my boy friends Mom and she has been playing it for her pre-school class she teaches and the children dance and drum to the music. I highly recomend this CD to all.

5 out of 5 stars Cosmic Rhythm Vibrations.......2002-10-31

This disc provides a stirring cosmic journey, care of three of the most influential percussionists of today. Baba Olatunji was one of the first to bring West African drums to American ears. His rhythmic ebb and flow, along with his classic call and response singing, amply aided by Shakti, reminded me of when I first heard "Drums of Passion" - a truly enlightening moment. With Muruga and Sikiru, he is in his element. Muruga provides a vast dynamic range and brings flavors of Eastern spirituality and the steady counter-rhythms employed in his Weather Report days. Sikiru's talking drum alternates between lead and chorus, providing a conversational thread. This strong album is a must for all fans of drumming and world beat music.
