However this is a comment to review below I would like to make it as a separate review so it will be no more misleading.

This title produced specifically for 5.1 Surround Sound Reproduction not for 7.1 that (not with all cases: that depends on applied surround presets and speaker placement) can lead to fading of discrete 3-dimensional Sound Effect that makes this record so amazing. So for the Best Sound Experience it is better to listen this Album in Discrete 5.1 mode.

The "additional disc" was actually DVD-Audio and this reviewer obviously don't have a DVD-Audio feature in DVD player to enjoy Hi-Definition DVD-Audio Disc if she received an error. That she actually heard was DTS Music Disc.

Sound is good but not great, DVD is over priced!.......2007-06-11

I bought this DVD to enjoy an amazing sound experience from my 7.1 surround sound system. However, it was not an amazing experience, the sound was good but not great. I don't think it was worth the money. It should be sold for $16 at max. There was an additional DVD that I could not play. I kept getting an error that the format could not be read or not supported. (The extra disk had the DVD format logo)

I purchased this to desensitize my dog to the sound of thunderstorms. He's not as anxious when a storm materializes, so it must be doing the trick.

This is my wind-down CD. I play this when I am in bed reading a book, and then if my mind is still active, I will play it again as I am falling asleep. It has a wonderful variation of sounds... trickles, rainfall, and thunder-claps. This one is my favorite.

Loud dripping sounds ruined it for me...............2007-05-06

This thunderstorm CD was just okay - if I had the option, I would give it 2.5 stars instead of 3.
For whatever reason, the author chose to put a continuous dripping noise over the sounds of rain and thunder. I'm talking about the kind of dripping that keeps you up at night, such as from a drippy faucet. And it's not subtle - it's front and center, as if the microphone is right next to the dripping. Apparently, it was an attempt at a "babbling brooke" effect, but it didn't work - it's just annoying. For me, it was distracting and detracted from the sounds of rain and thunder.
Personally, I also don't like the sounds of chirping and squawking birds, etc, on thunderstorm CDs, but I know many people do like that, and perhaps it was sort of the theme of this one, so I can't take points off for that.
If you're just looking for the sounds of just a thunderstorm - ie. the sound of thunder and rain falling on trees and/or pavement, look elsewhere.

Over all this is an effective product for our needs........2007-04-20

My wife bought this album to help her sleep, and it is generally soothing. Some parts however are a little too intense with regard to the thunder. In spots it just booms, to the point that it is jarring. If you are just drifting off or getting into a meditative state, the louder peals of thunder can sometimes be counter-productive.

Surround Sound Thunderstorm...I am thunderstruck.......2007-03-06

This is a surround sound (super audio CD) recording of a real thunderstorm in the wilderness, from its gentle beginning through its full roar to the quiet end. I have several discs of rainstorms...this is by far the very best. The sound quality is so good it scared my dog into running under the bed!

If your used to hearing other Baby Anne albums,you will notice that this one is slighty different.On this live album,the bass queen uses the "Nu Skool"type of breaks which features old school techno mixed with breakbeats,creating an awesome bass monster of an album.What makes this cd so good,is that it was recorded live at RA in Las Vegas,and the crowd screaming in the background really adds life to this mix.If you like dance music,you want this cd.

WTF is going on with my beloved Bass Queen??

The last two cd realeases have been weak in comparison with the first 3.

I remember the release of Bass Queen vol.1, it was like a breath of fresh air. It would turn my car/home into a local club(New Orleans). This is true no longer.

Once a never miss a local gig Baby Anne fan, I do not intend to go out of my way to see her play here. Her recent set at the House of Blues was lame in my opinion.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, or maybe Im still caugh in the breaks sound I so loved in 1998-2001 but something is definitely wrong here.

The few decent tracks on this live mix cd were played out long before the release of this mix. Maybe it is because breaks are so popular in my local clubs that this did nothing to move me, but 5 stars some of you, gimme a break!

Bass Queen, what happened? Is it your fancy new record label contract? Come on, you can tell us. Why are you releasing these cds?????????

I have been a fan of Baby Ann since she broke out through Icey. I think this is by far one one the best mixes she has ever put together. It will make your subs beat and you hi's scream. Very awesome.

Worth adding to "Silver Apples" and "Wild Bull".......2003-05-07

There was a time when I first got a couple of CDs of Morton Subotnick's electronic music. One of them has the 2 early masterpieces "Silver Apples of the Moon" and "The Wild Bull." The other had "Touch" and "Jacob's Room." Both on the Wergo label. I've read how "Jacob's Room" stunk before I bought the CD. I was aware of that. I listened to it twice and agree that "Jacob's Room" stunk (is that why it's no longer in stock?). Later, however, I notice this Mode CD containing "Touch" and other electronic works that are NOT "Jacob's Room." It must've gotten on the market shortly after I bough the Wergo CD. So I sold the Wergo CD at an auction (more than what I paid for, and I didn't ask for much) and got this Mode CD when I had a chance. On it, there's "Touch", "A Sky of Cloudless Sulphur" and "Gestures: It Begins With Colors." If you like "Silver Apples" as well as "The Wild Bull" then you may wanna get this Mode CD. This is Volume 1 of his works. I wonder when there'll be volume two...

Oh yes, you may also wanna get the New Albion CD, "The Key To Songs / Return." Another worthy addition of Subotnick's electronic music.

I'll admit to being fascinated by anything in surround-sound but the high-definition process used by Monster for the Superdiscs is phenomenal, putting you right there in the recording booth with the artists.

Highly recommended and versatile package includes Dolby and DTS tracks plus something not found elsewhere: digital files for your MP3 player in Dolby Headphone Surround.

You will not find better sound technology than this. A highly recommended album.

Possuo alguns SACDs e DVDs-AUDIO que já considerava espetaculares, mas este SUPERDISC me agradou muito. A qualidade sonora é surpreendente em qualquer dos três sistemas apresentados. Agora ficarei na espectativa de outros títulos no mesmo formato.

I already have this item as a sacd and it sounds great, I got it to see what was changed as I have a Pioneer Elite receiver and DVD player that can handle everything this disc has. On my home unit there was not much differant from the SACD but there was a little better sound from the SUPERDISC. But the SUPERDISC sounds great on my car, I play the DVD in the car and it sounds great, I can't play SACD's in the car. The 2 additional tracks are no reason to get this disc.

As an added bonus to the CD, Mixed Live comes with a bonus DVD - this features a 5.1 Surround Sound mix of the set as well as a new, exclusive documentary on Ferry and the recording of the show. Also on the DVD is the full, uncut version of the "Punk" music video and a slide-show of pictures taken inside of Spundae during the show. Mixed Live is the only compilation series to be recorded live at the club in surround sound - just the DJ and the crowd captured in a moment.

I have had this CD since 2004. This is an album that is and will be timeless for me. It is by far my favorite Ferry Corsten Mix. If you are a fan of Ferry Corsten, or trance in general, you just cannot go wrong in purchasing this cd.

i find that there are a few songs in the middle of this album that are way to electronic for me, but the first few tracks and Punk, Understatment and a few other rock. So overall considering how many tracks are on this album, its a great CD.

Let me start off and say this album is fabolous,and by far Ferry's best album.The songs flow perfectly together,and provide so much uplifting,emotional energy...both melodic and epic trance that will make you melt.Any true appreciater of fine trance music will know right away that this is NOT amateur garbage(like some of the new trance)And to top that,it is live,who could ask for more?Way to go Ferry!I wish all of Ferry's albums could be as slammin'as this one.If your looking for a cd like this one,you wont find it on any of his cd's...this one is quite different from the rest.Any dance/trance music fan should go out and buy this album NOW!

fc picked out some really great tracks for this set! and you can tell that by the crowd singing along to his own track "punk". the bonus dvd really makes me wish i was there that night =(

Great CD!!!.......2004-08-29

I'm a big fan of Global Trancemissions Vol. 1 and 2 so I had to get this one. There are a few tracks toward the middle that I'm not particularly fond of, but the first 4 or 5 tracks are excellent.

Overall it's a great CD that any fan of Ferry Corsten should have. If you like Global Trancemissions, you'll like this one.

I teach music for a living and never bought a record just to test my audio equipment.
I found that Alexander's arrangement is very interesting, esthetically correct and highly entertaining. Some people filling uncomfortable then classical music being played using synthesized instruments but I am not one of them, like many people who know Alexander's work I believe this record is a masterpiece. But that make his records absolutly outstanding is the 3-Dimensional sound concept that is assential part of the arrengement, IF YOU REALLY INTERESTED IN BEING ON TOP OF LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN MODERN MUSIC CULTURE, YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS.

Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart does not need additional introduction. Being Afraid Making historical references to Mozart and Alexander I will not say more. I can only add that this is maybe one of the most interesting classical records produced using synthesis and 3-Dimensional Sound philosophy by Alexander Golberg Jero will make this album stand out for a really long time.

With the release of "Crossing," David Elias has re-affirmed his place as an icon among singer-songwriters of America. For David, it seems truly a crossing of old and new technologies - warm, wooden, acoustic instruments recorded on state-of-the-art Sonoma DSD equipment. Also crossing exciting new tracks (the gritty, gunslinger Dobro of "Morning Light/Western Town," the vivid, honest imagery of"Crossing," and the signature David Elias way of making a yearning, existential paean sound hopeful, as in "One More Savior") while breathing new life into a few of David's classic tunes ("Mend My Mind," "Heaven's Destiny," and "Changing Down"). But the real irony of David Elias' "Crossing" is the friendly way it greets you ears on first listen, and then finds it's way into your heart thereafter. And once that happens, you're a fan for life. Lucky for us, David's prolific songwriting keeps us fed with gems like "Crossing."
