Some jazz players say the Sax comes closest to the sound of the human voice singing. In the Latin world the sax has had little predominance however. There was the exceptional Cuban player Chombo Silva, known as the "stan getz" of Cuba but very little was recorded or available today. The Dominican Merengue Los Toros Band features wild sax affects but never any solos! Now we finallyt find HabanaSax and it is grand. No piano comping just four guys blowing like mad! Kinda like Stan Kenton's famous "Four Brothers" sax section of many years past. Cuban Jazz in a serious manner and very groovy. These guys are serious players. Highly recommended.
