5 out of 5 stars Excellent.......2005-12-11

This is an excellent single release from Utada Hikaru.
It contains 'Sakura Drops' and 'Letters', both of which are found on her 'Deep River' album. But the single also has instrumental/karaoke tracks for both songs.

'Sakura Drops' is absolutely gorgeous. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. With an enchanting melody, and impecible arrangement, you will want to listen to it over and over again.
'Letters', while not as good as 'Sakura Drops' is still a great song. Wonderful guitar work, and a somewhat Spanish feel to it make this song a great addition to the single.

I highly recommend this single to anyone looking for something fresh and unique.

5 out of 5 stars Utada shines with an AMAZING song!!.......2006-03-25

I first became aware of Utada Hikaru with "Simple and Clean", the American version if her Japanese single "Hikari". It was the theme song to "Kingdom Hearts", and I immediately loved her singing style. Once, I heard "Sakura Drops", while surfing on the net, I knew I was hooked! Here, Utada shows off, what I feel is, some of her best work! She doesn't go overboard in any aspect of the song. She incorporates a simple, smooth beat, and her vocals never disappoint. I think that's what drew me to her music in the first place; the use of catchy, pop sounds that are unique in their own way! This song stays with you. Any J-Pop fan out there should definitely buy this single. ("Letters", also featured,is a GREAT, interesting song as well!)

5 out of 5 stars Sakura Drops Sakura by Hikaru Utada.......2005-07-22

Although this cd only has four tracks, the quality of the sound is great, and Hikaru's voice is exceptional. She has the ability to draw you into the music, which I find to be a rare talent among most singers these days. It makes me wish the songs were longer. If you want a quick music fix, but don't have time for a regular length cd, pick this one up.

If one is at sea and hears her voice -GET THE WAX! She is a Siren. A most beautiful and beckoning vocal quality like no other.

5 out of 5 stars The best J-pop song out there!.......2003-01-07

If anyone is a true fan of J-pop, then they would know how much Sakura Drops is worth. It is truly awesome, and I've heard a lot of annoying songs from J-pop artists such as Morning Musume and SPEED, but Hikaru comes forth as someone I CAN admire. Sakura Drops is proof of this. A lot of my friends have heard it, and they're not even fans of J-pop, but they liked it. And I think you will too, just give it a listen, because it's WORTH that much.

1 out of 5 stars Bjork wanna be.......2002-12-27

I think she imitates Bjork too much.
