This CD is aptly named! Monica truly is THE Lady of Hearts! What heart! What soul! As I sit here listening to this CD for the umpteenth time I still get goosebumps. What a pleasure to listen to her. Monica's voice is to the ear as a fine liqueur is to the tongue and throat. Her choice of songs shows her excellent taste in jazz standards. The way she sings them shows her wonderful talent. I was going to express my feelings for certain songs, but they're all great! She makes each and every one uniquely her own.

Buy all 3 of her CDs so you don't miss out on every aspect of her exceptional range and diversity.

A Voice like an Embrace.......2001-12-30

Monica's voice and interpretation of the songs on this CD allow you to experience a variety of emotions...all honestly presented and felt. This is the CD I chose to listen to after the events of September 11th. I found great solace and comfort as I listened and I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who truly enjoys a captivating listening experience.

I met Monica through surfing the net one day for Female Jazz Vocalists. I had the chance to sample her work. Eventually, I picked up a copy of her Cd. "Lady Of Hearts." let me tell you, as a vocalist myself, Monica's voice is "simply soothing" to the ear. Her voice is rich, energetic and full of creativity. My favorite tune is "You Go To My Head." If Amazons scale had a 10 on it, Monica Hatch would get a 10 from me. If you haven't experienced Monica Hatch yet, then I suggest that you pick up a copy of anyone of her Cd's. You will truly be amazed, as I was, at this wonderful Song Stylist. Keep your eyes and ears open for Monica Hatch, because she's a treat, and a true talent.

Pure Irish Enjoyment.......2002-02-08

Frank Emerson is a truly amazing performer/entertainer/author. Although Frank hails from Dublin, Ireland he is a Marine and an outstanding American Patriot. Frank has a robust baritone voice with an unbelievable range, which makes one stand up and be proud to be an American.

"Dear Sarah" is a CD that pays homage to all the warriors of days gone by and of present day's heroes. Frank's renditions of Irish and American tributes to the Armed Forces and their loved ones in the CD "Dear Sarah" are heartfelt and filled with emotion. He makes one feel that they are in the location in which these ballads occur. The songs run the gambit of up beat to pensive.

It is in my humble opinion that any of Frank Emerson's myriad CDs are worth more than the actual cost. One will not be disappointed! Five Star ratings all around!

4.5 stars. This is a grand mixture of Black Sabbath and Candlemass, Doom Metal in the completely traditional sense. However, amid the great grooving riffs, epic soundscapes, and dark lyrical undertones packed into this album there are also some progressive elements thrown in to keeps things interesting. For instance, the opening track begins with keyboard sound effects out of a Sci-fi movie, while on the second song an Eastern-style acoustic guitar adds some welcome flavor. My primary complaint is with the apathetic vocal style. The vocals are clean for the most part, but during the slower sections it becomes difficult to even care about the lyrics when they are delivered with such indifference. Although, the vocals are slightly varied throughout, from actual singing and shouting to passages of spoken-word lyrics, so this is a minor complaint. If you're one who enjoys wicked riffs wrapped in Doom Metal darkness laced with touches of Progressive Metal then this is certainly a Doom Metal album worth owning. Running time: (49:24).
