with "amorematico" subsonica have done a space trip, with electronic experiments and "clubbing" tracks, in the last album "terrestre" it's easy to see a rock-switch. very close to the first works of the band, "terrestre" includes rock tracks, dub beats, acoustic ballads, instrumental experiments and trance sounds. all is played like 30 years ago, with instruments taken from the 70s, and with a lot of explicit references to prog rock ("gasoline" sounds like the first genesis). the first single, "abitudine", has a amazingly powerful refrain and an instrumental final part with new wave echo. lot of tracks, like "ratto", "l'odore" and "giorni a perdere", says you to jump and dance. the conclusion of the album is left to a electronic/acoustic ballad called "dormi", that underlines the great voice of the singer, samuel. an album that combines lots of different styles, in a perfect way, that confirms subsonica as the italian best act (in 2006 they will look also outside italy). but the best way to listen to subsonica is still on stage, when they give all their energy and make you move for more than two hours. an impressive live-band.

OK, so I heard this song in a club in Rome. OK, it was love at first beat. This group is the other side of Italpop, the darker proof of a culture that is about more than Gelati and Pizza. If you're tired of Paolo Meneguzzi, Eros Ramazzotti, and are looking to graduate from soft pop to something more complex to satisfy your craving for Italian music (and if you like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Ideal, European New Wave Groups etc.) get this album. Also, their new album rocks!

bought this album in florence, italy over two years ago, and I still listen to it today. one of my favorites. italian techno-pop at its finest. every song on amorematico has a different feel - techno, rock, pop, funk, dance - but there is still a cohesive sound to the album as a whole. good for parties, or dancing around by yourself. ;)

The german guy above obviously is not a fan... Subsonica, nothing even CLOSE to other sounds you ever heard in your life. They're the top indie band in Italy, great music (and NOTHING is done with computer helps, it's all played), amazing lyrics. You gotta get into them!

Well, Subsonica are the best band in Italy for me! This album made me buy their three studio album: "Subsonica", "Microchip Emozionale" and "Amorematico"! They are very good and you can find a death metal fan (as well as me) or a tecno fan in one of their concert!

With the videoclip "Nuvole Rapide" ("Fast Cloud") they won the MTV European Music Award for the best Italian Act in 2002!

To be honest their music reminds me a little to New Order success while their lyrics are incredible!

Good Mix.......2003-06-12

I saw these guys in concert in Bologna. First thing came to mind just hearing the faint beat from half a mile away was "Metallica's here?!?" Then I got closer and tossed that idea. Another song reminded me of Smash Mouth's style, and yet another with a hint of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mainly it seemed like a cross between rock and dance music. So, I enjoyed their sound and even though I can only understand half the lyrics, I would recommend this. I like their sound better live.

The Subsonica are certainly the best group of the Italian musical panorama, finally recognized, after so much mess-tin, also to international level.
They can boast live a draught that it is really alone of the great artists, coming to involve the public with intense atmospheres and alienanti to exploiting the charisma and the loaded trascinante of the frontman Samuel. This album is the mirror of the sonorous evolution of the Subsonicas that they pick up in 2cd the best of the Amorematico tour 2002.

Sono certamente il miglior gruppo del panorama musicale italiano, riconosciuti finalmente, dopo tanta gavetta, anche a livello internazionale. Possono vantare un tiro dal vivo che è proprio solo dei grandi artisti, arrivando a coinvolgere il pubblico con atmosfere intensissime e alienanti a sfruttando il carisma e la carica trascinante del frontman Samuel.
Quest'album è lo specchio dell'evoluzione sonora dei Subsonica che raccolgono in 2cd il meglio dell'Amorematico tour 2002.
