Not that bad.......2005-05-21

Well, the other review thoroughly bags this out, but I don't think it's that bad. To its credit there aren't any synthesised instruments - all the music is either original pieces or live music; no fake violins or guitars on the electric-organ. However, in some cases there's almost no reference to a Middle Eastern piece at all, which is a bit weird. All the non-Middle Eastern references seem to be American, which is ok, but the theme can be a bit teadious.
The other aspect of it is that I've haven't been exposed to too much Middle Eastern music, and this would be a good intro for anyone who likes dance music.
After all that though, I've heard worse. I'm pretty tight when it comes to buying music, I have to have heard it, and liked it, first. And I still bought this one.
All it needs now is a companion CD with all the original Middle Eastern pieces on it.

Worst mix ever.......2004-02-11

These are probably the worst Iraqi mixed songs I've heard. It's an absolute sodomization of Iraqi music and a miserable, failed attempt to mix techno music with traditional Iraqi music. Don't waste your money or time on this one.
