This is vol 1 of a 4 CD set. This is the lesser of the 4 CD's. The sound quality is fairly poor, but listenable. There are 2 King Crinsom songs and 2 Jethro Tull sones, which gives a clue of what type of music PFM plays. PFM's versions of these songs aren't that spectacular, and are actually pretty rough and noisy. The real beauty is in the instrumentals that follow these songs. PFM is generally more melodic than King Crinsom and softer than Jethro Tull. Their music has more of a jazz influence.

The 4 volumes in this series originally came in a box set called 10 Anni 1971-1981. It came with a nice book written in Italian. I don't think it is available anymore. The preferred set to get is the 4 CD Japanese import called Absolutely Live. It is almost the same except for a few tracks on the 4th disk. There is also a condensed 2 CD version called Celebration.
