About the Artist
Quique Talavera, one of Puerto Rico's most sucessful musician, arranger, band leader and conductor for the past thirty years. With musical arrangements in over 40 albums for singers like: Chucho Avellanet, Lucecita, Carmita Jiménez, Julio Angel, Gilberto Monroig, Mirta Silva, Armando Manzanero, Charytin, Sophy, Jose Luis Monero and Tony Croatto among them. Toured widely as musical director and arranger for José Luis Rodríguez (El Puma) from 1978 to 1982. From 1983 to 1988 Talavera was featured as the house band leader of Club Caribe of the Caribe Hilton. Beside composing jingles for campaigns in the latin market, he has worked since 1994 for WIPR TV - Channel 6 as a musical director. Currently he is feature with his band at The El San Juan Hotel of Isla Verde in Puerto Rico and works regularly around the island.
