This is a DAT soundboard recording from a show the band performed at NY's CBGB club in 2000. They were given the DAT by the soundman and liked the raw energy of the show, so released it without any doctoring. The songs are lightning-fast sped-up (31 songs = 50'!! ) when compared to the more measured studio versions and a tad sloppier (still a tight band, mind you) but full of aggro and excitement. These versions are updated in style, more thrashcore/hardcore and less metallic than during their late 80's/early 90's period. Gordo's growling vox is low in the mix as usual (as it's originally meant to be) and in top form. Sound is good but unbalanced; guitar and vox tend to sound a lot louder on the left channel during most of the gig but can be corrected with an eq. Advice : Get their latest albums first before plunging into this live cd.
