More than just a singer..........2006-04-10

Biagio Antonacci is to me probably the best singer in current Italian music. What sets Biagio aside of his peers, namely Ramazzotti, Grignani, Ferro, Nek, etc. certainly is the profoundness of his lyrics. He's a poet, a contemporary juglar, so much more than just a singer.

Beautiful and moving words emerge from each and every song written by Biagio Antonacci. Plus Biagio has been blessed with a beautiful voice that conveys sadness and romance, heartbroken and joy at the same time and his musical arrangements are just perfect. "Ti ricordi perche" (Do you remember why?):

"Sei mio primo pensiero, da quando apro gli occhi, nelle mattine che si accendono. E la luce di semplice cose che illumina. Ti ricordi davvero di me? Come io ricordo di te? O ti ricordi perche? Ti baciavo e sapevi di sale, e di cose belle da fare..." (You are my very first thought, from the moment I open my eyes as the morning begins to lit up. It's the light of simple things the one that illuminates the most. Do you really remember me? As I remember you? Or at least do you remember why? I used to kiss you and you tasted like salt, and like beautiful things to do)

Other beautiful songs by Antonacci are "Iris", "Non parli mai", "Volevo solo dirti che", "Se tornerai", "Non so piu a chi credere", "Mi fai stare bene", "Le cose che hai amato di pi?", "Non ci facciamo compagnia", "Io ho te", "Se e vero che ci sei" and so so so many others.

"Certe volte guardo il mare, questo eterno movimento e due occhi sono pochi per questo immenso e capisco di esser solo. E se e vero che ci sei, caccia via la solitudine di quest'uomo che ha capito il suo limite nel mondo. E un messagio per te (sto chiamandoti), sto cercandoti (sono solo e lo sai), e un messagio pe te (sto inventandoti), prima cha cambi luna e che sia primavera."

If it is true that you are here, scare the loneliness away, of this man who has finally come to understand his limits in this world. Of course, Italian is the best language for romance. Granted that, the way in which a composer/singer conveys such an impressive amount of feelings thru his music needs to be fairly praised. I truly recommend listening to Antonacci's songs if you are a hopeless romantic and daydreamer. You won't be disappointed.

not impressed.......2004-03-12

i was looking for an artist on par with gianluca grignani, tiziano ferro, nek, and laura pausini, and came across biagio's antonacci's "tra le mie canzoni". i was not impressed. he has a sensual voice, but his songs were too monotonous for me, despite some very touching lyrics. i was not impressed and do not enjoy listening to this album, which contains tracks of live recordings, but antonacci's efforts are most notable.

Tutte Le Mie Canzone.......2001-03-09

I have to say this is one of the most wonderful CD's I own. The tracks mesh perfectly with the lyrics, and the songs are totally sensual, deep, expressive and catchy. Biagio is now officially my favorite Italian artist! My very favorites are Iris, Iris remix, Le Cose Che Hai Amato Di Piu, Alessandra, and Quanto Tempo E Ancora. Enjoy!

Extreme emotions.......2000-11-18

This cd from Biagio Antonacci is simply amazing. You find wonderful love songs and intense rock songs about freedom, but it's in the love songs that Biagio expresses his enormous talent. Listen to it with the person you love and you will see what I mean when I talk about emotions. Enjoy the music and if you are so lucky to understand the words, listen carefully to what Biagio has to say about love.

My favorite new song! Se E vero chi ci sei!.......2006-02-12

My husband brought this CD back the latest trip to see his family while I was in school. Actually, the song was on Pavarotti and friends. "Se E' Vero Che Ci Sei...."....E un messagio per te....
just repeats and repeats in my head. Normally this drives me nuts but I love the song so much that
I listen to it again and again and again.
His soft voice and this song are the most beautiful combination!It makes me happy I learned Italian!!
I am 6 mos pregnant & My little baby in my belly goes nuts every time we listen to the song!
Something else to thank Pavarotti for!!
