For those who like boleros or any kind of slow, romantic Latin music, this is the album for you. Charlie Zaa, from Colombia, truly breaks your heart and stirs your passions with these songs. Two of my favorite songs, here, are "Pasiones" and "Deseos." They capture the urgency and the pangs of love (and lust). Get together with someone you feel like getting close to, and dance to this.......

New Generation.......2005-07-08

I read the bad reviews people have left. And with most of them people talk about "Los Panchos" or "Cuco Sanchez" etc etc. But what people have to understand is that not this type of music is targeted to the younger generations. I personally rather hear Charlie Zaa over Los Pancho or Cuco anyday. I can relate more to him. And he has a fresher sound. I'll leave Cuco and Los Panchos for my Grandfather and Dad.

I heard this in a Berkeley burrito place. It grew on me while I was waiting for my order. I speak only burrito Spanish, so the lyrics were lost on me; however, the melancholy romanticism in the voice resonated in my soul. When that high, husky-breathy, effortless tenor (think Sade ["shar-day"]) seamlessly slid onto the keyboard and guitars of the second track (Odiame), I knew I had to have this music and begged the owner to tell me what it was. Purists (see other reviewers) will doubtless have problems with his styling, but I love it. The owner said he was Puerto Rican, I thought the voice was a woman's, and my sweetie thought the music was Greek. Turns out Charlie's a Columbian guy doing a genre some say was born in Cuba. Whatever. Buy it. Play it. Dance with your sweetie (or a broom) all night.

I hate to admit this, but a year ago I was all about rock and hated all spanish music. After Selena died I didn't care for any more spanish music, but when I heard Alma Rebelde one day on Univision I fell right back in love! I also have to credit Limite for helping me expand my music taste; I don't limit myself just to rock now. This is one of thier best albums. Todos necesitan a comprar este cd de Limite!

It's hard to say that this is their best material because all of their material is great. But, se sacaron la daga! By the way this is NOT Tejano - it's Norteño. There is some similitude..but it's not the same. I can say this because I live in the Magical Rio Grande Valley of South Texas (where Tejano music was born and is constantly being refined) but,we love this girl (Alicia "licha" Villarreal) just the same (if not more..like me).

This CD is a must have for anyone who enjoys the increasingly popular Tejano sound; strongly recommended!! I liked it so much that I am back to order more of Limite.

One of the best Camilo Sesto's album....IF NOT the best!.......2004-12-13

This CD contains some of the best arranged songs done by this extremely popular Spaniard singer. His career height was around the time of this album (mid to end of 70s). Although.....his most beloved album, by his fan, is the Jesucristo Superstar. But, for my money, this is a much stronger album.

The first track (Vivir así es Morir de Amor) was extremely popular....and at least here in Spain it has been "found" again by DJs, and made AGAIN a popular song in the discos. Unbelievable!

My favorite song of this album, and on the top 5 of my favorite Camilo's songs, is "Girasol". Well orchestrated, beautifully sung.....and a sad lyric, to top it off!!! SUPERB!!

There are two songs I do not like (both in English), which I suppose were done in trying to do some cross-over for the Anglo Saxon public. For my taste, both did not work.

Another Camilo's CD I would recommend is "Solo un Hombre", "Camilo Sesto" (1973), and "Amor Libre" (another very popular album, on its time).

I would rather stay away from the never-ending number of "Greatest Hits" that have been done to Camilo!! In my opinion, they just take the same old songs, re-arrange in different order, and put them back for sale. AND, most sadly, many many MANY of his best songs are left out!! At least if you are looking a sultry, romantic, sometimes heart-breaking voice, and songs.

Toda una cascada de Sentimientos..........2002-02-15

Quien no recuerda "vivir así es morir de amor", "el amor de mi vida", "recuerdame", "atrapado" o "no fue una noche cualquiera"... Esas son las canciones del alma que contiene este disco... El primer disco LP de Camilo Sesto que me fue regalado fue precisamente este, y aún, 16 años después, lo conservo. Un excelente disco, grandes coros y voz principal, y no se diga la musicalización con todos sus arreglos musicales... Es un clásico de Camilo Sesto...

Old School Tejano.......2006-07-31

This album I believe came out sometime in the late 80's early 90's. It was rereleased by EMI latin in 95. David Marez did the more traditional modern Tejano (heavy keyboards) on this album. If you can find a copy I would recomand you getting it. Just don't pay the big prices that some people charge. I got this cd for 9.99 a couple years ago. Actually I saw it for that price yeaterday at my local record store. (Ritmo latino). But deffenetly get it if you can.
