I was first introduced to this wonderful singers music three years ago from a woman visiting from Brazil. She lent me this album , as well as several other Brazilian singer's cd's but it was Adriana's album "Perfil" that really caught my attention. Such beautiful songs coming from such a beautiful singer. It was truely love at first listen.

I would highly recommend this album to all.

Um Best Of tão cedo?..........2001-10-05

Para mim, este não é certamente um álbum fácil de criticar por dois motivos: primeiro, pela positiva, porque realmente tem músicas mesmo muito boas; segundo, pela negativa, porque acho que é um best of que não se justificaria tanto quanto isso... Passo a explicar. A meu ver, Adriana Calcanhotto é uma artista, compositora e intérprete mesmo muito boa. No entanto, acho que tem ainda muito pouca obra publicada que justificasse o lançamento de um best of neste momento. Para quem não tivesse nenhum álbum da cantora, certamente este seria (e será, porque recomendo a quem não conheça A.C. ainda) um álbum a reter. No entanto, para quem tenha vindo a acompanhar atentamente a sua carreira, torna-se muito repetitivo o lançamento de um best of logo no seguimento de um álbum como o "Público" que, de certo modo, também ele representava um best of.
Considerando o álbum por si só, é realmente um álbum com muito boas canções. No entanto, o "cheiro" que fica no ar é que foi um álbum editado para se poder tornar uma artista mais popular...
Uma questão de opção da artista ou da editora, mas quanto a mim, inoportuna.
Saber esperar pela altura certa também é uma virtude.

You have got to be kidding me. If you like modern music, especially music with a Brasilian beat, especially music that is progressive, especially music that is hip (and incorporates modern themes like rap), you will love this. This is particularly true of songs like Piercing and Meu Amour. Some of these songs have appeared before. But that's the beauty of this CD. It includes some of his best stuff. If you're looking for new Brazilian music with the same catchy harmonies and rhythms, you've found it.
