The cd has its good points, personally "It's Over" from "THAB" with its haunting melodies portraying the consequences of war.

Great Collection.......2001-12-25
Just another fine addition to my Xena collection!
Exceptional.......2001-11-30
Though,there is a complain:i can't understand,why after 6 cd's,the producers don't do a cd including cues like:M'laila's song,the cues from the Bacchaen festival,music from Deja Vou All Over Again,where in the end,Gabrielle says to Xena those wonderful words,or even the scene of the kiss in The Quest!That,i can't understand it!
Last, i believe that whoever likes LoDuca's music style,should buy this cd.
Pay attention to the 22 cue:Pas De Deux Femmes.It is one of a something and whoever remembers what's the scene of this song,will agree with me!Mmmm!
A MIX OF THE BEST, THE WORST AND THE MISSING.......2001-11-29

A Major Document of an Incredible Oeuvre..........2007-03-12
Of over 600 songs, Fischer-Dieskau and Gerald Moore realized over three-quarters: these are those. Gerald Moore was of course as important to this project as Fischer-Dieskau.
DGG's sound is excellent.
This set is a remarkable document of art.

Last of the Lawton era albums........2004-10-10
Fallen Angel is probably the most commercial album Heep did in the 70's. There are none of the familiar fantasy themed songs at all on this at all (only High and Mighty has that distinction for the 70's albums). All the songs are about love and relationships. That doesn't mean it's not good, it's a great album and I think it's better than it's predecessor "Innocent Victim" though it's not a must half like the bands first 5 albums and "Firefly".
If you have the previous remastered version of Fallen Angel, this is not worth getting. There are no new bonus tracks. The follwing are just rehashes of songs on the original album. They don't sound any different.3. Gimme Love - single b-side
Last Farewell - out-take, previously unreleased
Street Lady - out-take, previously unreleased
Struttin' - out-take, previously unreleased
On to the song reviews.
Woman of the Night - Great opener. One of the harder rocking songs on the album.
Falling in Love. - Good AOR rock song, though short (under 3 minutes)
One More Night - A rockabilly Elvis type song. Good one.
Put Your Lovin on Me - Nice mid tempo rocker with a mix of electric and accoustic guitars.
Come Back to Me. Beautiful and soulful country rock ballad about the breaking up of drummer Lee Kerslake's marriage. One of the best Heep ballads ever.
What 'Ya Say - Heep does disco. If KISS and the Rolling Stones can do disco, I guess Heep can too. Not bad for a disco song, but thank goodness it's short.
Save It - I think this is the weakest track on the album. Not sure what the band was accomplishing with this.
I'm Alive - The best rocker on the album. This would have fit well on any Heep album. Energy is filled throughout the song.
Fallen Angel - Along with I'm Alive and Women of the Night, this is my favorite of the tracks. This is the most progressive rock track on the album. Nice melodic accoustic guitar work and keyboards compliment the vocals.
A Right to Live - The best of the bonus tracks. This should have been on the original album rather than Save It. Less commercial sound than most of the album.
Cheater - Sounds like a Styx song of the time period. You swear that Heep had Dennis DeYoung do the vocals on this.
Gimme Love - A generic late 70's AOR song that doesn't really do anything for me.

Perhaps Joe Locke's finest achievement.......2006-04-27
His own band, 4 Walls of Freedom, with two outstanding releases (an eponymous disc and Dear Life), his collaborations with Frank Kimbrough, perhaps the finest jazz pianist alive (The Willow and Saturn's Child), plus his work with Tim Garland and Geoff Keezer (Storms and Nocturnes), establish him as among the premier vibests alive.
Fallen Angel, however, is something special. Every once in a while a kind of off-the-wall jazz concept strikes pay dirt. That's the case here, methinks. The perhaps cliched idea of creating a jazz disc resonating with film noir sensibilities is here parlayed, big time, into an entirely attractive and infinitely engaging musical encounter. This is territory effectively evoked by Michael Blake at least twice (Drift and Elevated), and perhaps three times if you include Blake Tartare, but never quite as brilliantly as here.
Why? Vibest Joe Locke seems to have this uncanny ability to absolutely "lock" into whatever "vibe" is going down. Here the dusky, tawdry, East LA 40s sensibility is magnificently nailed. Think Chinatown on steroids. And, one must admit, it's a feeling of uncommon attractiveness: world-weariness to the max; seedy, over-the-hill-but-still-appealing denizens--Bogey and Bacall--eking out a cheap existence against a cityscape of huge evocativeness. All this Locke and band blithely, effortlessly, nail.
The vibes, that ungainly instrument with the potentially annoying reverb thing happening, seems the perfect instrument to evoke this smart seediness. Combine that with sleepy-samba guitar by co-leader Bob Sneider, world-weary, Miles-influenced trumpet, courtesy of brother John Sneider, Grant Stewart conjuring late nights at third-hand strip joints, and brilliant stylings by the deep-pocket rhythm section of Phil Flanigan (bass) and Mike Melito (drums), and you have some mega-noir music reeking of lost dreams and, indeed, fallen angels almost beyond comprehension.
Trust me. It's all magnificently pulled off. Absolutely not to be missed.

Recycled.......2003-06-01
This 2CD compilation consists of the following:
- 1 track from Ted Nugent's "Free-For-All" album;
- all tracks from "Bat Out Of Hell", except for "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad";
- all tracks from "Dead Ringer", except for "Nocturnal Pleasure";
- all tracks from "Midnight At The Lost And Found"
So it's like 3 albums on 2 discs, with tracks shuffled around to avoid continuity; there's enough room left to have included the missing 2 songs!
No lyrics, liner notes, or pictures; basic packaging and 2 hours of music from Meat Loaf's first 3 solo albums (the Epic years).
So, it's an affordable way to get the "bulk" of the early stuff.
