About the Artist
Cindy was born in Torrance, California. She moved to Texas with her family at the age of ten. This was when her interest in music started to emerge. She learned to play the piano, clarinet, and guitar. Cindy started singing when she was fourteen, and traveled with her church choir. She grew up singing 70's rock and country, although country music always seemed to take the main spotlight with her. In her twenties, Cindy continued to sing with different bands at clubs and parties, where she paid those all too familiar dues. During this time, she hung to her goals and dreams of recording a CD. We, at Taliesyn Music are proud to be a part of that dream. We know you will enjoy this CD as much as we did recording it. Cindy has a bright career ahead of her, and there is no stopping her now.

infectious and inspiring music you MUST OWN.......2006-06-16

SOJA has been playing in the background of my life for two years now. sad to say, after listening to peace in a time of war non-stop for so long, its hard for me to turn to anything else reggae... YES even marley. this is no knock on the roots greats believe me. SOJA is just THAT GOOD. jacobs voice is haunting and beautiful, backed up by great rythm and lines from the band this cd will stay in your player or ipod on repeat. my brother who isnt more than a passive reggae fan (marley, the occasional toots or tosh) after hearing me play the Soldiers now is hooked as well. these guys will be known as one of the american reggae greats.. (along and above groundation believe me) CANT MISS SONGS!! "true love", "rasta courage", "brothers and sisters" , "jah love", "peace in a time of war" the entire disc is unreal... check out the latest "Get Wiser" but not before "Peace"............... SOJA!

i bought this album for the track ( TRUE LOVE ) which is one of the most beautiful reggae tracks i have ever .having spent 25 years in and around this business i know a good music when i hear it . other tracks from this album have grown on me . money well spent

what can i say? if you love roots like i do and you dont have this cd you are sleepin mon! i live in northern virginia so i had heard buzz bout these brothers for awile, but it wasnt till i saw dem at the state theatre in falls church dat i realize how good SOJA are..PEACE IN A TIME OF WAR is an awesome cd mon..its in heavy rotation in my player! 2nd only to bob marleys 4 cd set SONGS OF FREEDOM.. you wont be disappointed if you purchase this one! my favorite tracks,if i had to pick,are RASTA COURAGE AND PEACE IN A TIME OF WAR..LIVITY!!

Excellent independent traditional country.......2002-07-03

Cindy's album is a throwback to the sixties and seventies - country music recorded the way it was back then, except that this was recorded in year 2000. Cindy was not tempted (or not allowed) to record any covers - all the songs were written in-house, although Cindy herself did not write anything. The songs themselves are very good, providing a mix of different tempos, all sung beautifully by Cindy, who has a lovely country voice.

I'd like to see Cindy become a major star, but it won't happen. Taliesyn and other small independents don't have the resources, while major labels aren't interested in this type of country music any more. There are many excellent traditional country singers around, almost all on small independents. Some, like Cindy, are lucky enough to have their product stocked by Amazon, but Amazon can't stock all of them.

If you like traditional country, these small independents need all the support you can give them. Apart from anything else, that will encourage Amazon to stock more of them. Buying this album is a good start.

New Star on the Horizon.......2000-11-21

"Next Time Around" by Cindy Moorhead is a wonderful blend of traditional and new country. With a sweet, clear voice and skillfull songwriting, this CD is sure to be a hit. I highly recommend it. Would make a great Christmas gift for family and friends.

Every song on the CD was more than well done. I believe with the right promotion Cindy Moorhead could go far. She has a great voice, I look forward to hearing more CD's from her.

Sean Wiggins delivers another solid collection.......2003-08-20

"Next Time Around" is all about relationships. Sean Wiggins examines the problems that plague all of us when we open up to other people.

"What If" will have a familiar ring to anyone who has second-guessed how they treated someone else, wondering if things could have turned out differently. It's followed up by "Next Time Around", where she optimistically declares that she'll "get it right next time around". Substance abuse proves an insurmountable obstacle in "My Best Friend".

Just when you're starting to wonder why she would continue to subject herself to all this abuse, Sean answers with "Hopeful". It reassures us that love can take the sting out of life.

Two of my favorite tracks are "Before I Fall" and "Unrequited". "Before I Fall" deals with the fear of commitment that grows out of a series of failed love affairs. "Unrequited" has a beautiful, minor melody that underscores a wonderful romance...that only exists in the singer's imagination.

A notable achievement was that "No Difference" won 1st Place for R&B/Blues in the 11th Billboard Song Contest in 2002. Sean trades her guitar for a piano on this beautful number and shows yet another facet to her considerable talent.

Album Description

After the last CD project was released in 1995, I began thinking about the next one. The Title "THE NEXT TIME AROUND" came from a song that Kay and I wrote together while sitting together in a restaurant following a concert I had done. As the years moved on, I found myself blessed by all of the people I had met and had a chance to learn from. So, I included many of my musical friendson this project, not only to honor their creativity, but also to serve as a symbol representing all of the people who have impacted my life.

The songs here range from mellow to roudy with styles ranging from folk to romance to "who knows". My wish is that as you listen to the music here, you will tap your feet on some songs and close your eyes to re-aquaint yourself with your soul on others.

On behalf of everyone involved, I hope you enjoy the music that we have put together for you.
