this record is so good that me and my husband had it played for our wedding and we just got married April 4th, 1998. Really wish we could get the cd because we have the record but no record player

mr whitman's version of songs just create pure-sound music........1999-03-20

Growing up the country boy in a small farm town in Texas,in the late 1940's and early 1950's, a natural life, what would be more normal than strolling down a country lane with my dog SANDY, SINGING AND HUMMING Mr. Whitman's songs. They have stuck with me all thes years, really added something to my life. In 1953, I drove 600 mile round trip to shreveport,Louisanna to see him perform on stage at the Louisanna Hayride. Thank you Mr. Whitman for granting my request that night to sing a song and dedicate it to two of my friends who could'nt make the trip with me because they had just shipped out overseas. Your show was being broadcast over the Armed Forces Network system, and I am sure the heard the request that was deducated to them, and just for a little while, they were home again, strolling down a dusty country road again, singing your songs along with me and my old dog Sandy. So thank you, Mr. Whitman. ----From an old grey Wolf.
