The inspired title track, a send-up of Deana Carter's "Did I Shave My Legs for This?" is the highlight of this comedy album, but Judd ... also duets with Buck Owens on "First Redneck on the Internet," a laugh-inspiring takeoff on those satire-ready obsessive, computer junkies. The rest of the album is fun, too ... [but] Judd can't sing.... [He]is consistently funny, even if his wit is more generic Jeff Foxworthy redneck humor than real satire much of the time.... He does have one glaring fault: He's too soft on his subjects. None of the targets of his parodies can be all that offended, and throughout this bubba-bashing album, he never once mentions Bill Clinton or Paula Jones.

Music for the content, not the quality.......2002-09-14

This CD is amusing, if one looks at the lyrics. The spoof of popular country songs is a great idea, and Cledus has some good parodies. However, his voice quality is a bit on the nasal side - and not always pleasant to listen to. Yet, somehow, with these lyrics, his voice sounds fine. There are some gems on this CD, including: Every Bulb in the House is Blown, Third Rock from her Thumb, and Did I Shave My Back For This? I do recommend this CD, even for people who aren't country fans - the lyrics are just too funny to miss!

Cledus T.Judd is funny and talented.Hip Hop&Honky Tonk is the jam.in fact that beat that he has going on is better than you hear in most Hip-Hop songs.that alone flooored me.First Redneck on the Internet with Buck Owens was funny as well.this is a good disc and worth a Listen.

This redneck is surely the Al Yankovic of country music. Wives Do It, Third Rock, Mindy McCready and the title song are excellent parodies of countrified music today. The originals, First Redneck On The Internet and Hankenstein prove that this crazy hickster is more than just a country clown. He has talent!!! A great effort. The world anticipates the next musical joyride. Keep yuckin it up, Cledus!!! (no relation)
