Great Memories From A Great Lady!.......2003-06-11
Ruby Wright appeared on the Ruth Lyons television show in the greater Cincinnati area on WLWT during the 1950's & 60's. I believe she retired in the early 70's and she lives in Cincinnati. She use to make occasional reunion appearences in the 80's and 90's. I have never met her, but my family and I watched her everyday during those years. She is the epitome of class, elegance, and beauty. Her most famous local song, written by Ruth Lyons, was "Let's Light The Christmas Tree." She also had a national hit entitled "Thanks for the Buggy Ride." (These last two songs do not appear on this album, but several other great ones do!).
I guarantee that you'll love this CD. It's perfect for the Big Band lover or for anyone who grew up listening to Ruby Wright in the Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, area in the 1950's! Thank you for the opportunity to review this CD performed by a true lady!
Marvelous "unknown" singer.......2002-03-19
