This cd is all the Roy Orbison you'll ever need, at ;east as far as his Sun Records rockabilly sides go. All his rickenist sides like Ooby Dooby are here, and he prooves to be a great rock'n'roller, if youl ike Carl Perkins' Sun Recordings you'll also enjoy these seminal rockabilly sides that Roy recorded for legendary Sun Records. You won't belive that the hepcat you hear on thsi cd would later become the square heard singin pretty Woman and other sappy doo-wop songs, just get this, it's really all the you need, but believe me you do need it, if you want a comprehensive rockabilly collection!

The hardest rocking cd of Perkins that is available.......2004-03-04

This cd has 12 of Carl Perkins hardest rocking rockabilly songs which he recorded for Sun Records. For thsi cheap price you'd better grab one up. Includes Matchbox, Blue Suade Shoes and ten other classics by this rockabilly pioneer. Also of note: there is some great slap bass playing on this as well as decent liner notes.

Essential rockabilly artist, essential cd, budget price!.......2004-03-04

Yuo can never be too sure about these little bootleg labels, as far as sound quality and original recordings, but in this case, this cd is 100% full proof. 1st off you get a dozen of his hardest swinging' rockabilly sides, all original Sun recordingd, remstered with perfect sound quality, for a very low price(under $7.00). Carl Perkins who's big hit "Blue Suade Shoes", was overshadowed by his friend Elvis' version, is one of the top rockabilly singers/guitarists, and this has all the songs you need. This is a perfect introduction cd to the wildly jumpin' music of Carl Perkins. ESSENTIAL!!!

It's ludicrous!

THE "BEST" OF SUN RECORDS has NO Elvis on it? Elvis, Scotty and Bill helped make that label legendary, and vice-versa, and not even ONE of their 'B' sides is here. Speaking of B's....

There's only THREE TOP 40 hits on this album? Come on, guys-- get serious. SUN record's "best of" could easily fill a box set, yet all that's offered here is the mediocrities?

The "brightest" SUN is nowhere in sight. NOT recommended!
