Debrae Debut Does Right.......2007-06-18

This album is very good. A strong 4 stars, not quite up to 5. Debrae sings with energy and enthusiasm. About half the songs are written by others, the other half written by her. She does country/lite rock well. Good songs:

Quality country on an independent label.......2003-08-03

Debrae is an ex-model who has also been seen on American television, but her first love is music. She fronted a couple of rock bans, but fulfilled a dream by recording this country album, in which she proves that she can write songs as well as sing them. Although this album is on an independent label (her own), it is of a high quality. The style is country with a contemporary edge, but it should appeal to fans of traditional country who accept a measure of modernization.

Debrae co-wrote (with producer Robert Etoll) four of the songs here - Let's pretend we never met, You're no good to me, Take me now and I like him the best. Debrae also does a wonderful cover of Cyndi Lauper's Time after time. The other five songs appear to be originals.

Debrae has said that all the other jobs pay the bills but that singing is her first love. Given the chance, Debrae could prove that she is as good as any of the leading country ladies. I doubt that she will be given the opportunity, but this is a brilliant album and I hope there are more to come.

Desperate Heart is one of the best CD's I've heard in a long time.The energy and power of this pretty lady's voice is undeniable and make the Desperate Heart CD a must have. If you ever have a chance to see Debrae's live show do your self a favor and see her. The rumor is she will be touring North America in the near future,in the mean time check out her new web page it's easy to find!
