Solid musicianship and honest songwriting.......2001-08-22

Whatever category you want to place them in, The Pawtuckets are a great band. Songs vary from Counting Crows style rock to old school country to beautiful ballads. The album sounds so familiar yet so fresh. The instrumentation is nothing innovative, yet is very finely crafted. The songwriting is simple, yet says a whole lot. It's a great album to listen to on a porch in the country drinking a Schlitz beer with a lazy dog laying by your side. It's too bad that the band doesn't get more mainstream play, but who really wants to be mainstream. Anyway, if you like damn good music, give this album a spin...you might just love it.
