Upbeat and fun to listen to with catchy lyrics!.......1999-05-22

The song "I feel like singin' along" has an upbeat pace similar to Hank Williams Jr style, and a hint of Merle Haggard with well-thought-out lyrics...I certainly like to sing along!! Even though I personally prefer upbeat tunes such as the above-mentioned, and "Runaway Cadillac", and many more, the song "Big in the Heart" seems truly from the heart, and is very enjoyable. These songs of the modern day cowboy are great listening. Standouts are the title track, Cold Blue Highway and The End of the Rainbow Inn. If you can find it, check out Chris's Any Saturday Night in Texas, his live cd. I puts you into Gruene Hall for a night of Texas honky tonkin'.

This is one of the best Texas live albums I've heard. It you like real, honest country musice you have to have this album. Lots of special guests too.

I am pleased to see that Chris Wall is selling his music on Amazon even though he will not sell out to Nashville. In "Texas Time", a song on this CD, he proclaims that he would rather be "a fencepost in Texas than the king of TN". Wall is originally from Montana, but you would not know this from his music. He is able to capture the true Texas spirit and love of Texas in his music. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who is new to Wall or an old fan. If you are not doing the Texas two step after listening to this CD, then you will never do the two step.
