It's not all that great, but it's still good........2000-06-26

This isn't exactly the best Hanson cd out there. I didn't like it too much, because it was mostly someone else talking about Hanson. They hardly said anything. I prefer other interview disks where Hanson does most of the talking. Also, most of the information is stuff that most Hanson fans should know. However, I do recommend it for big Hanson fans. It comes with a book as well. Most of the pix have been seen before, but if you love to collect Hanson memorabilia, then I'd say that this is a good addition to your collection. Otherwise, I'd suggest you spend your money on "This Time Around" or "Middle of Nowhere"

this cd is really cool, the guys tell it like it is, plus you get to hear what other fans think of middle of nowhere and live from albertane. this cd should be a must for every hanson fan, if you don't have it go out and buy it.

I think that this CD is one of their worst. Even though it's not music, who wants to hear an British man talk about how they got started and more? It's not like the truly devoted Hanson fan doesn't already know this stuff. I think Hanson could have done much better. I USED to be a Hanson fan, but lately they've been kind of...boring. Overall, I think Hanson has more potential and could have done a better job.

Actually, this CD contains no music (as stated on the album cover) and is just a guy talking about the history of the Chicks. If you're looking for Chicks music, go for "Wide Open Spaces" or "Fly."

Let me say first that i am a HUGE Garbage fan, and I absolutely worship Shirley Manson.

However, I was really disappointed with this. To be honest, I only bought this because it came with 2 free singles (both versions of When I Grow Up, which I was also surprisingly disappointed with).

The narrator guy starts to get annoying near the end, and there are a few boring bits (such as when some people on the phone talk for what seems like hours). I do, however, like the bits where Garbage themselves are talking, that's cool.

Only get this CD if you really really need it.

Being a massive Garbage fan, I bought the star profile to add to my collection of Garbage memorabilia. The cd documentary is nice, the interviews are good. The documentary gives information that you can find anywhere, however. The book has good pictures, but the writing is very poor. It is full of grammatical errors and some of the information isn't correct, such as where they say Butch's real name is Brian Vig when it is really Bryan Vigorson. I would suggest that people only get this star profile if you are a huge fan and want to add to your collection.

A Great Garbage Collectable.......1999-10-07

Wow, it seems as if a lot of reviewers reviewed the wrong Garbage CD. This CD is only a documentary about Garbage, nothing else. It includes a nice little book and a CD that talks about how the band got together, their lives, etc. A must have for Garbage fans.

If you want to hear their music, check out their self-titled album (which is awesome and original), and their sophomore album, "Version 2.0" (which should have gotten album of the year!).

An excellent CD.......1999-08-25

Words cannot describe how good this CD is. You have to hear it for yourself. I liked it so much i went to hear them play live at the celebrations for the opening of the Scottish Parlaiment!

Wow! What can I say? All that there is to say is this album rocks!!! Even if your not a big Garbage Fanatic, go buy this CD anyway. You won't regret it! It's my all-time favorite CD, and will always be. Garbage kicks arse!

THIS IS NOT A NEW CD FROM DESTINY'S CHILD... Some very funny people have written rather doubtful reviews about thi so called new cd.. Here we have good information about DC which you'd all enjoy if you are not buying it for the music ;) I think it is very funny though that people actually write reviews about a non existing cd... Have fun... this is a good cd for educational purposes... ;)

I have heard this gorgeous new album.......2001-04-07

I was fortunate enough to hear an advance copy of this great new release from Destiny's Child. SO, I took notes to let everyone know what a treasure this album is. SONG 1 - SURVIVOR. We have all heard it. A life after love power piece depicting a post relationship strength, with an almost obnoxiously catching hook! SONG 2 - CHAINS OF LOVE. I almost hoped this was a cover of the 80's ERASURE hit, but it is its own song about the 4 original Destiny women torn between one man they all feel chained to emotionally. SONG 3 - BIG BROTHER. About an emotional family tie. SONG 4 - THE REAL WORLD - A touching ballad with a touching tune and meaningful lyrics. SONG 5 - THE MOLE. This high energy piece is a girl powered pounce on those who tried to sabotage Destiny's brilliant career early on. 6. ROAD RULES - hardships and joys of life on the road. 7. BANDS ON THE RUN - speaks of [similar] groups and competition 8. TEMPTATION ISLAND - A melodic fantasy musing if these girls were left on a fantasy island. 9. BOOT CAMP - is a mid tempo classic dealing with the pressures of being a part of the modern girl group machine. 10. POPSTARS is a cute and short ditty about the group's quick rise to fame. 11. MAKING THE BAND is a confessional number about the ever changing members of DESTINY'S CHILD. This is a gorgeous album full of reality and feeling. I loved every moment of it. There is even a hidden bonus track. This track is heard by REWINDING the first track (SURVIVOR) after 5 minutes of reverse, play the CD forward and you will hear WHO WANTS TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE - a touching ballad/dance song about the unintentional need and worship of a dominating man. Talk about girl power! This album is a hit. Get it now!

destiny's child has really out done themselves this time. you thought that writings on the wall was good just wait till you hear this man. if i could i would play this all day but i have to go to school during the day. but once i get home i turn it right on.

The cover of this cd is a bit misleading. Though the cd was released in 2000, the interview was actually conducted sometime in 1992-93. Also, the cd cover boasts that it is "packed with original interviews". Only one interview is included on the cd. Nonetheless, it is a worthwhile investment for the serious Celine fan. She is only twenty-four in this interview and is just beginning to achieve international status. It's fun to hear her at this early stage in her career-very excited and awed by her newfound fame in the U.S. The questions asked are a bit dry and unoriginal, however that is really irrelevant. Celine herself is cute, witty, and sweet, making the interview just adorable. Knowing a bit about Celine's career at this stage in her life makes the interview more interesting. The booklet is an accurate outline of her career with several photos. It was definitely compiled in 2000, and contains recent pictures and information up to that date. Overall, the Celine Dion Star Profile is a nice addition to any Celine collection.

This CD is interesting, and probably worth the money if you're a die-hard Céline Dion fan like I, but if you're just a minor Céline fan your money would probably be better spent on a music recording of hers. The CD holds a nice audio interview with Céline, done a while ago so it's a bit dated. I liked the little picture booklet, but again the pictures can be found other places. The bottom line is, this is a great addition to any Céline fan's collection, but don't put it at the top of your Céline list.

The Spice Girls are just wannabes. That atrocious tune, "Wannabe," sums up Nasty Spice, Rancid Spice, Rotten Spice, Stinky Spice and Stupid Spice in a nutshell. These wannabes can't act, dance, deliver lines convincingly or play any instruments. They are just a put together marketing fad. They really stink!

Instead of listening to this waste, listen to some REAL girl power like Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, Madonna and Alanis Morrisette. They rock!

This is Shania's Life Story on CD and with a small book. Packed with original interviews, this audio CD is unique and informative. A must for every fan. The small book is 100 pages and in full color.

i bought this album, thinking id found another shania twain c.d. i thought that the album "beginings" hadn't come out over here in the u.k yet, but it has, for some reason though, its called "wild and wicked " here. it is a totally new view of shania,but being a big fan of hers, i still found it brilliant. i especially like track 5, "i love to hate." this album is definatly a winner!

Okay, but not that great.......2000-01-23

A big part of this cd consists of Shanias life story, spoken by an australian woman. I have heard that story so many times that I'm pretty tired of it, so I didn't like that much. It also has a couple of short parts(a couple of minutes each) from Shania interviews from Australia, which is nice if you like Shania, but the interviews aren't that special. You also get a small book about Shania. It has her lifestory AGAIN and some pictures of her. Most of the pictures are from when she performed at FanFair for the first time and from different award ceremonies. I don't think that the pictures have been published before, but that's probably because they aren't very good. And there has been a lot of other pictures from these events that have been published, so I wouldn't buy this just for the pictures. Overall I think that this is okay if you're a big fan, but nothing to get that exited about

Overall this is a very bad quality album and if you listen to just one of the sample clips you'll see why. So save you're money and if you really want to know about Rage, go to some private band web-sites.

HORRIBLE.......2000-05-29

I recently puchased the Rage Against the Machine Star Profile. The CD is an Audio Documentary. It includes 5 tracks of some guy talking about the band. A couple of interviews were put in the CD also. I found this CD to be a HUGE waste of money! The cd also comes with a 100 page full color picture book, which I found to be quite interesting. I would not recommend this CD to anyone.

The music on this cd is strong and you cant help but be compelled and drawn in by the words used to describe the pain and sufferings for generations.The guitar is different,very vivid and alive.All of the songs paint a picture of a third world country,which is hard to take,but starts interest and discussion in your thoughts.the beats,guitar and rhyme are put together to make a disorted unity,which makes these exciting pumped up songs that all come together.This is my favorite cd,but it probably helped seeing the adrenaline pushed into the songs in concert.
