About the Artist
Launched by identical twin brothers David and Ned Henry, Brother Henry are on a musical journey fueled by an unrelenting desire to write and play music. The band’s keen pop sensibilities have been compared to R.E.M., Crowded House, the Byrds and Barenaked Ladies, but with a cello.

After the release of their acclaimed album "Come On, People," David and Ned roped in older brother Jeff and newly adopted brother Park Ellis to share in the venture.

"We all played music growing up, but individually quit to start families and try out other more reputable careers," David said. "Despite a genuine half-hearted attempt to move on,we never could flush the need to create and play music out of our veins. Now we’re back in the game with a new vision and determination that arises from our experiences with family, work and love."

The Brothers capped their 2004 tour with a live album and DVD "Live At The Basement",recorded in Nashville, before heading back into the studio for the winter. Emerging with 11 new tracks, the Brothers are now preparing to release their second studio album "Chasing Happiness," with two tracks featuring guest keyboardist Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers.) Ben Folds even shot all the photos for the new release with vintage cameras after Ned and David cut some tracks for Ben’s new Epic Records release.

"Chasing Happiness" will be released in June, just in time for Brother Henry’s summer tour.

Recorded at The Basement in Nashville, TN on October 30, 2004. This show capped the triumphant summer tour by Brother Henry, and features seven songs from "Come On, People," two songs from their highly-anticipated new album, and even a cover of the classic Bee Gee's hit "Staying Alive" that became one of the band's closing staples on the summer tour. The same show was also recorded as a three camera video shoot, and the Brothers look forward to releasing the DVD later in the year.

The Best Live Performers Australia Has To Offer!!!.......2005-09-29

Fruit are simply the best live performers I have ever experienced. Their talent just blows me away. This album is an awesome snapshot if you can't make it to a Fruit show, if you need a fix between gigs or to remember what would have certainly been one of the best evenings of music of your life if you have experienced a fruit show.

The highlight of this album for me was "Mamma Mamma"... Mel Watson gives her all with her trumpet and her voice and this track captures a moment of Mel perfectly.
The Basement is a great Sydney venue, and you can feel that the girls (and guy) are comfortable there. The ABC in Australia ran this show as part of their TV series "Live at The Basement" but they have not yet made it available on DVD, so we'll have to make do with the CD for now.

I am from a small town in Northern California and FRUIT has stopped here a few times in the past year. They play in small venues and they even agreed to play in my friends coffee shop. They are a wonderful blend of rock and harmony and wonderfully talented. Sam, Mel and Susie are the AMAZING female vocalists who feed off eachother. The "boys" are great too. There are two of them and I have heard the girls play alone and also with the boys. Either way they were outstanding. Each of these young women have their own CD's as well. Mel plays horns and is such an outstanding musician. Susie and Sam play guitar like there is no tomorrow and they all have knock out voices. I highly recommend any of their CD's. Just saw this band from Australia on their final leg of their tour here in the States and I was blown away. They are a tight, innovative, awesome group that deserve to hit it big time. I've been an "Angels-Angel City" fan for 3 Decades. Seen them twice. Never without Doc Neeson, the ABSOLUTE BEST singer-front man in ROCK! John Brewster is no Doc. Still it rates a 4.5 Star almost 5. The 4 MAN Band is RAW & KNARLY drums, bass, & kick A** guitar.

One of rock n' roll's great secrets.......2006-05-20

X are the greatest band you never heard of. Their brand of rock n' roll is of the most brutal and primitive, yet humorous and cool, nature.

Even in their native Australia, they are unknown outside the inner sanctum of 30 and 40-something inner city hipsters in Sydney and Melbourne.

There is no US or British equivalent. They are that rare and special. A live X experience is absolutely unforgettable.

This live album is a departure from their norm - recorded at Sydney's premier jazz club rather than the usual sticky carpet pub. As a 25th birthday commemoration they added strings and violins etc. to their original four piece sound. Still they couldn't help themselves -the raw punk energy still howls through. Testament to the power of their songwriting is how outstandingly well they stand up to these re-workings.

Three members dead since their 1977 inception, this album is a triumphal testament to their brilliance. They're still unknown, yet the most legendary and seminal of Australian bands amongst those who know. There's no other way to say it.

The Maestro on the keys!.......2005-09-29

For those of us who have wondered what happened to the Jon Lord of yesterday, this CD answers that question once and for all. Jon plays his Hammond with all the passion and gusto he did back in the halcyon days of Deep Purple's MkII line-up. Not synths, no piano, no ARP Ensemble, just good old raw Hammond organ. While the blues genre gets a little old, it's so great to hear him playing organ that you almost don't notice the repetitive nature of the material. That said, I don't believe I've ever made it through the entire show in one sitting. I usually get about half-way through and then I'm ready for a change. I would have loved more of this classic Hammond sound on Purpendicular and Abandon, which would have helped those albums immensely. Here, he plays with a fire and passion that his latter day Purple albums lacked. Overall, a great return to form for one of rock's premier keyboard players. I'd love to see him return to his rock roots a little more often, just to remind the world what a real Hammond player sounds like.
