Billboard Magazine
"Brenn Hill is considered one of the western community's most promising stars."
Product Description:
Born in the wide, open spaces of Utah, Brenn Hill adds a special twist to the typical GenX...cowboy style. Through writing and singing the songs that keep alive the tradition and heart of the American cowboy, Brenn has made a commitment to maintain the legend of the West. Trail Through Yesterday embraces the cowboy life- the old and the new. Hard work, big sky, steadfastness, new love, pride...these are the values and charm that are no different for the cowboy today than the cowboy that lived a hundred years ago.

Can't say enough...........2005-01-05
Add this as well to your collection. If you don't sing along, roll your window up and listen harder.
Refreshing.......2002-05-03
I was fortunate to see Brenn Hill in person. He is delightful. Voice smooth and warm. Writing is genuine. I hope that this wonderful talent will be given the coverage he deserves but that he stays as down to earth as he is now. Can't wait for his next CD because I have Trail through Yesterday and Call You Cowboy. Loved Pickup Truck Cafe and Buckaroo Tatoo.
Truely One of The Most Talented New Artists.......2001-12-07
I had the pleasure of hearing Brenn sing last weekend at a small little bar called the Mangy Moose! It was like a small private party, and Brenn "awed" us all! He has one of the nicest voices to listen to. The songs are written with heart and sang from his soul. You can't help but love what you hear. I wish him all the best, for it is very obvious he has a long and wonderful career ahead of him! Good Luck Brenn!!
Go west, cowboy.......2001-06-15
Brenn Hill brings another western tradition album to life with stories that pique the mind and take you to some interesting places. Brenn has a smooth voice that mixes well with story and the instruments that help bring it to life. While I'm not a great fan of western/cowboy music, Horseback Getaway, Daddy's Last Waltz and The Store all touch my mind and my heart. The music is peaceful, the songs are honest and the artist gives brings them together in a meshing of respect to tradition and a better way of life.
The Real Deal.......2001-05-17
Brenn outdoes himself with this one! The musicians are first rate. He is no candy-coated country star. His blend of folk music with definitely western themes is amazing. Many issues confronting the West color his music. My favorites are upbeat Franklin Canyon Dust and Burnin' Hair (just try to not sing along!) or the more comtemplative The Store and Daddy's Last Waltz. You won't find anything out of Nashville with this many outstanding songs! I saw him live at the Western Arts Festival, and it is worth making the trip, the recordings are just as good.
