Brilliant Work from a Brilliant Set of Musicians.......2006-06-14
Well Worth the Money! A Good Album.......2005-10-12
Miss Shore's voice is wonderful, especially in harmony. I hope she has more to give to us.

Nathan Bell... what's up with you?.......2005-02-22
As for Nathan Bell... regardless of what he says, he is (was) a great songwriter. It is a shame that he has been burned so badly that he can't see his talent. Obviously, as of his writing in the reviews section, Nathan still has a little interest in music. Why would he have searched out his name on Amazon and/or L-Ranko Motel? Or maybe he is the one selling "used" copies for 5 bucks. Who knows? It is too bad when a talented artist gets so cynical and embittered.
I used to watch Nathan Bell and Susan Shore perform at The Mill in Iowa City, Iowa, and the performances are some of my most cherished memories of live music. I highly recommend this album to everyone!
Had To Add Two Cents.......2004-09-29
Hey, I'm a songwriter, too and I often don't like my own work. But you, on the other hand, should really take an objective look at the wonderful work you did on this record. I bought this in 1989, just when I started to play guitar and write songs. If I could ever write a song as good as "The Flint Hills Of Kansas", "Address Unknown" or "Johnny El Gato Miguel" I would quit writing.
You, on the other hand, should keep going. And if not, at least be a little proud of the work you did--I mean, you managed to reach this half-wit in the middle of nowhere (i.e. Northern Minnesota)which is no small feat.
peace + love
