Great Jazz.......2007-02-07

"All my tomorrows" is one the most romantic Grover Washington Jr'.s Albums.
This Columbia set features the popular Saxophonist, Grover Washington Jr, Joined by a fantastic band with plenty of Piano by Hank Jones.
I fell in love at first with the first and last track of this album; but after few rounds on my Cd. player, the entire album blended perfectly, revealing a very relaxing atmosphere, full of beautiful tunes; a well recommended memorable set of smooth Jazz Music.

This cd is romantic and laid back type of feel. I love the whole cd
I listen to it on lazy saturday afternoons.
It's great buy it if you like roamantic soothing jazz.

The Art of Attraction In Song.......2006-02-24

A fine melot wine. A candlelight italian dinner. The sound of the wind softly gliding against the moonlight sky. Two loves sharing the aroma of romance over a specially prepared dinner; and the music in the background moves them to dance, not like before, but as a celebration---a homecomming for two drifting souls.

What is playing? All My Tomorrows by Grover Washington, Jr.

Firstly, I must say that this album shocked me. At a time when I was only into smooth jazz (and some Miles Davis), a store owner recommended this particular album to me. He said it would match my tastes in jazz (at that time, Gearld Albright, David Sandborn, Bob James, Kirk Whalum, etc). When I took this tape home, I just didn't get it!

Primary listening evaluations led me to categorize this as "The Cosby Show-type Jazz" (along the lines of Quincy Jones' The Ballad of Chet Kindaid) and that it was created for older minds. Now, 10 years later; I appreciate this music for what it is.

This album is a slow-romance masterpiece. All the tempos are slow, the musical timbre is soft, and the presetation is subtle and detailed. Grover quiets his horn (as a sidenote, read the linter notes as he discusses his embrechure lessons from Eddie Harris) and allows for extended breathing techniques in his music. The texture of the music is rippled and the overall presentation is excellent.

I think this album belongs in every romantic's collection. I keep this album at home and in the car (next to Anita Baker and Luther Vandross). It's a soft and slow drift from the noise of the day to a somber and seductive place of mind that only lover's know of.

I've listened to it 100 times.......2001-05-11

and it's still one of my favorite CD's. I especially like I'M GLAD THERE IS YOU and OVERJOYED.

My favorite Grover Washington, Jr. work is WINELIGHT, but this one is second in line.

I was saddened by Washington's untimely death. He seemed like such a nice person and he was truly gifted by the gods.

Lacklustre Grover.......2000-07-06

Having almost the entire collection of Grover cd's I think its reasonably safe to say I like Grover Washington Jr. Mr Washington had a talent all of his own and all his music is uniquely recognisable. This album however, I have to confess, is not my favourite. Whilst enjoying this cd whenever played, I have to say it lacks something I cant quite define. The cd starts off with the tranquil and unruffled pace of El Precisco Perdoar. This is my favourite track and you quickly settle into its gentle rhythmic sway. The soft romantic tones are continued in track 3 I'm Glad There is You but Grover's timeless romantic quality inexplicably waivers on this cd. The playing quality is steady and consistent but it doesnt seem to quite reach the heady heights which most of his other cd's achieve.

era Crystal does them better than anybody alive.This is a must for
lovers and is real date music.new catagory....ADULT ROMANCE.

TORCH AT ITS BEST!.......2005-07-29

Loretta Lynn wrote in her second memoir that no female singer today could beat her sister, Crystal at singing torch songs. No overstatement. This CD is a compilation of beautiful standards that are not overproduced, oversung but simply and tastefully arranged with the right amount of piano, strings, percussion and brass. Crystal's vocals are impeccable. What she does with the Marlene Dietrich classic "Falling in Love Again" is unbelievable. "You Belong to Me" sends chills up my spine! "Smile" is breathtakingly haunting as is "You Made Me Love You". "Goody Goody" is fun and engaging. As someone else posted, this is not a country CD but I defy any legitimate country fan not to like this! And I mean legitimate, not the fake bubblegum country that is on the airwaves today. I found this gem yesterday and I listened to it before I bought it and I
only had to hear one song. No filler here at all! I wish all music was as beautiful as this. Crystal Gayle has class!

Excellent Album!!!.......2003-12-05

I have always loved Crystal Gayle. However, I always thought she should explore and perform more in the jazz blues arena. She has a gorgeous voice and style. This album displays what she can do with her voice. This is not a country album, if that is what you are looking for. She is an accomplished songbird and this album proves her talents. I know Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper have recently recorded new albums of old classic standards. I only have one thing to say, move over you two and pave the road for a great Crystal Gayle return. I only hope that Crystal will do a follow up to this album with a volume two in the next year or so. This album was worth the wait. However, I hope Crystal releases new albums more frequently in the years to come.

i just watched Shiri last night and loved it and watched the credits over and over to get the name of the singer. the song fit the movie so well. i think it is just an amazing version of this song and worth the price of this cd.

I never heard of Carol Kidd until I saw a Korean Movie called "Shiri" which had Carol's song "When I Dream " in the soundtrack. After looking her up and the album "All my tomorrows" I would consider it a FANTASTIC CD for ANY collection of nostalgia. Her rendition of "When I Dream" absolutely knocks me down! It is so great I don't think any modern day singer can touch it the way she has done! It is so inspiring, that I forgot who the ORIGINAL artist was who released it years ago. I think it might have been Crystal Gayle but years have taken their toll on my knowledge curve. For anyone interested, this song alone is worth the purchase! Don't miss it, as its bound to bring tears to your eyes and take you back to the years when MUSIC was just that: MUSIC!

It is simply splendid! Paul's luminous talent could not be better showcased. Congratulations not only to Paul and Patti (appearing with Paul) but also to the accompanists (and the recording engineer). Paul's voice is, of course, exceptional but we were also struck by his unforced and effective phrasing and timing.
