The Best.......2004-05-30

Well, after the eloquent writings of others, I can only say: this album was issued in 1989. For several months, I played it everyday on my way to work and back home. I still listen to it at least once a month. The voices of these two women blend so pleasingly that their lovely voices and perfect harmonies could make an angel cry! I know these two ladies MUST have more to give and it's a pity that they have not recorded other marvelous albums. My hope is that they will! Come on Pam and Mary Ann!

The first of only two albums by this female duo, "Hai Ku" is some of the most interesting and pleasing of the progressive country/pop genre. I bought it after hearing "Love Like This" on TV, and it is one of my most-played CD's. Two beautiful voices which work very well together, and effective, imaginative instrumental backup. The theme is mostly love, and there is lots of passion, heartache and joy here. This album and its sister, "Walk the Line" were out of print for a long time, and appear scarce now. Very highly recommended, and I hope I can get another copy, since mine is gone.

Little Known Talents.......2007-02-16

I saw Rose and Kennedy with Emmylou Harris in concert in December. In addition to Rose and Kennedy, Emmylou had a fabulous bass player named David Jacques. Bothe ladies were fabulous musicians so I bought this album and have enjoyed it several times. It is a pick what you like and skip the others sort but still worth having.
