Good mix of songs--excellent picking........2006-01-25

Tim is known for his supurb rhythm pickin'. This CD is a good mixture of material from very traditional to contemporary. Amazon's price is too high. I bought the CD from www.countysales.com for only $13.50. It does look like Amazon could lower their prices to be more competitive with other sellers. I know of at least three other sites that sell this same CD from $13.50 to $14.25.

Recently Nominated for 2005 IBMA Awards!!.......2004-10-20

This recording was just recently nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year by the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) and Tim Stafford was nominated for Guitar Player of the Year! Everything I've heard that Tim Stafford has had anything to do with has been consistently excellent! I love the songs he writes, I love his voice, and I love his pickin'. On this first solo album, after YEARS in the business as a master of his craft, he still doesn't hog the spotlight--never has. Sharing it are several other excellent vocalists (check out Keith Williams on Bad Reputation) and musicians, especially cellist Rushad Eggleston, and IBMA Dobro Player of the Year (again!) Rob Ickes. Some of my early favorites on this disc are the instrumentals that showcase Tim's talent on guitar. It's a treat to hear him step outside bluegrass on a few tunes that have a different flavor. It's not just one flavor, though, with its different nuances that ebb and flow. Sometimes it brings to mind James Taylor. At other times Chet Atkins or Tommy Emmanuel. Sometimes country, sometimes folk, a touch of classy jazz. But all unique and man, it's good!

Tim Stafford is amazing! This album is fabulous! The other musicians and singers on this album are also fantastic! I LOVED it!!
