The Rowan Brothers' eponymous debut arrived with a great deal of hype, including an ad featuring a quote from Jerry Garcia, in which he stated that Chris and Lorin Rowan 'could be like the Beatles. They're that good.' Produced by Bill Wolf and David Grisman (credited as David Diadem). Guest appearances from Jerry Garcia & Bill Kreutzmann. Another forgotten relic from the late 60s and early 70s San Francisco music scene. Remastered. Acadia. 2002.

All three brothers (Chris, Lorin & Peter) have had solo careers. Peter Rowan was a member of Seatrain & his early association with Jerry Garcia led to Jerry producing the Brothers' first album for Columbia. 10 tracks. 2002.

A SWING AND A MISS!!!!.......2006-12-15

Despite their good intentions-----or possibly the record co.'s marketing strategy at the time, this record IS as bad as you may have heard it was. Both of these guys have done worthy work over the course of their careers but this is not some of it. They had a stellar cast of session musicians -and Jerry Garcia said of them and this record,"They could be as good as the Beatles" Well, Jerry played on this record but these guys gained nothing from the experience. A truely embarrassing piece of work from an era noted for embarrassments.
