Customer Reviews:
My favorite entertainer.......2007-06-08
I like this and everything else Mr. Tom T. Hall has done. Not just like, but thoroughly enjoy.
It's been too long!.......2007-01-03
This is a PREMIER Bluegrass Album. I bought the original vinl record...played it so much I finally copied it to Cassette Tape. Great performers, wonderful arrangements. As a equestrian of 50 years, Molly and Tenbrooks gives me goosebumps everytime I play it. If you love Bluegrass, buy this CD...not a bad song on it.

Bluegrass Tom T.......2005-12-29
I purchased this album when it first came out on vinyl. It features some original songs, some covers (including a cover of Manfred Mann's "Fox On The Run") and guest shots by the likes of Bill Monroe (on Molly and Tenbrooks) and J.D. Crowe plus a cast of proficient bluegrass musicians. My personnal favorite songs are the Tom T. penned "Bluegrass Break-Up" and "Mama's Got The Catfish Blues", but all in all this is a delightful record, which verified TTH's claim that his heart has always been in Bluegrass. It should please both Tom T Hall fans and bluegrass fans alike.
Tom T. Hall, Bluegrass Artist.......2005-08-29
This CD is one of my favorite CDs of all time. It includes covers of other artists but it also includes a number of songs written by Tom T. Hall himself. The style is definitely pure Bluegrass and Tom has assembled a top notch bunch of Bluegrass musicians to help back him up. My three personal favorite songs are "Fox On the Run", "Molly and Tenbrooks" and "Mama's Got the Catfish Blues". However, every song is a winner and I highly recommend this CD to those Tom T. Hall fans who also like Bluegrass music.
Finally Out on CD!!.......2004-11-25
Anyone who likes both Bluegrass and Tom T. Hall will love this album, because it presents some of the best of both worlds. I've had the album on vinyl for 25 years, and am ecstatic that it's finally been released on CD. Non-bluegrass fans: don't be put off by by the bluegrass aspects of the album. I originally bought it strictly as a Tom T. Hall fan, and anyone so inclined will enjoy it for that as well. However, the album also served as my introduction to the world of bluegrass music and, after all these years, it's still one of my favorites.
On this album Tom T. Hall proves once again that he is indeed a "Magnificent Music Machine."
