A True Diamond in the Rough!.......2004-03-13

What a wonderful album! When you think country music; Paul Brandt is at the top of the charts...well, at least he should be. He is definitely the most underated country artist out there. This small town boy from Alberta has been overshadowed by the likes of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tim Mcgraw, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, JMM, Brad Paisly and many other well known country singers. Paul Brandt is one of a kind quality, the only artists in the same class as him are Garth Brooks, Tim McGRAW.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Paul once in concert, and the performance was impecable. His live vocals are as good as the CD, unlike many performers out there. Every song he has ever released has been awesome, there are no bad songs on a CD of his. There is no such thing as a "filler" song to Paul, every song on his CD is great. This is a CD you can put on when your mad, sad, or anywhere in between, it's guaranteed to lift your spirits. The messages are deep, the lyrics are powerful, the music will make you laugh, cry, dance, sing, and all in all you will feel warm inside.

Even if your not a country music fan, you'll love it. I also listen to music like eminem, 50 cent, Dmx, so believe me, it can touch all audiences. Paul's music is pure, genuine, honest, and it will bring you hope and encouragement in life. It will leave you with a positive attitude and instill into your heart that love and peace is important and very much attainable in today's world of violence and corrupton. Overall Paul's music is very spirited and uplifting, an influence that we need more of in today's world.

First of all I would like to make a corection the Realse date for this album was 2002 not 1969 (Paul was not born yet)

This is a very good album as is all of Pauls albums.
all the songs are great Paul is an excellent song writer and singer. I would recomend this album and all of pauls albums.

Paul is not only a down to earth person but he is also a great friend

Give this a listen!.......2007-06-26

I think I have seen these guys 4 or 5 times since I'm from the Twin Cities. The first time I saw them I had never heard them before and it was the middle of summer. To this day every time I hear this disc it reminds me of summer and good times. I usually hate emo-ish voices but this singer doesnt get on my nerves at all. A lot of very good, quick energetic songs. I've been waiting for their next release for a long time now, even though I heard its not much like this CD.

As a displaced Saint Paul resident I may be a little bias, but this album isn't half bad. Favorites from the album are "Forget The Fashoin" and "Alias: The Bookeeper" (with guest vocals from Justin Pierre from Motion City Soundtrack). On vocals, I think STBALS stands out from the cookie-cutter singing voice heard so often today.

This CD overall is decent, some awesome songs along with some obviously flawed songs (the last track on the album for example), but if you have a few extra dollars lying around I'd say check it out. It's promising for sure. I think they can only get better...

Excellent Minneapolis Scene Band.......2005-06-27

This is an excellent EP. Every song is solid, and the style is unique. The songs are all innovative instrumentally, and the vocals are great, and arenit just the generic emo voice you hear way to much of these days. "Wait For Me, Abby Bernstein," is probably the best song on the album. "Flower Cross," is nothing like any of the other songs, yet it fits the album perfectly. This a great album, and if you ever get a chance to see this band live, do so, because they are an amazing band to see.

This is one of the biggest bands in minneapolis right now. Recently added to AP's 100 bands you need to know in 05'. So get to know em before everyone else does. Great great music. For fans of Further Seems Forever, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie.

Kate Wallace and Michael Camp draw from their love of small towns and back roads to create a collaboration of tunes. Kate says; I was out on the road watching an Indiana sunset one fall evening with my musical traveling companion, Michael Camp. It came to me that the music loved in the little towns, not often played by commercial mainstream radio, really did express much of what I love about America. So we did the unusual- we made it a collaboration of tunes. So here's a little slice of Americana right from the heart, to the heart.
