This CD is a huge hit with our family--the songs are catchy, memorable, and fun to dance to. If you like folk/bluegrass, buy it!

I bought this CD for my 3yr daughter. She loves music and I wanted to expose her to different kinds in a kid friendly way. She absolutely loves it, I have constant requests for "The cat came back" song. I really enjoy it too. The whole CD is fun to listen to.

Not For Children Only.......2000-04-28

I checked this CD out of the library for my five year old but it quickly became one of my favorites (I'm forty!). Very well done.

Folk fun.......1999-01-23

David Holt is a consummate performer, master of banjo, guitar, spoons and a wonderful drum suit. This cd shows how much fun music can be. On the cut I Got A Bullfrog he and the band burst into spontaneous laughter twice- when I last saw him he said he left the outtake on to let the audience know what a good time he has performing. The cuts Aint No Bugs On Me and Doodle Daddle Day are light and footstomping good! The whole tape will delight children of all ages.

This man has been making music and epitomizing the spirit of Australia for 50 years. Although he had a massive worldwide hit with 'A Pub With No Beer' in the late '50s, few outside his home country are aware of the continuing popularity and reverence in which Dusty is held Down Under, not only by the public but by his fellow musicians and artists. 45 years ago in Australia, Slim Dusty and EMI celebrated Slim's 33rd birthday with a historic debut 33rpm LP release: Slim Dusty Sings. This was one of the first ever Long Play releases by an Australian artist and there was no way anyone would have anticipated that Slim Dusty would have gone on, not only to release 18 albums just in the decade of the '60s, but also continue on to release a remarkable 100 plus albums over the following four decades of his career. On the eve of what would have been Slims 78th birthday, EMI Australia here releases for the first time on CD six of Slim Dusty's classics albums from the 1960s. These historic CD releases commemorate Slim's hugely successful '60s era (12 Gold LP's) and the 45th anniversary of his debut. I have enjoyed listening to this wonderful collection. I live in the Memphis area, so I am lucky to get to hear the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble often. Kallen truly is a treasure, both with her incredible voice and her friendly manner. This cd shows off her supple voice and is a great addition to anyone's collection.
