About the Artist
Ivy Creek Recordings specializes in producing and promoting authentic old-time music of southern Appalachia as well as country/folk music from the era before television. Railroad music and folklore music is an area of major focus for the studio and for producer Bill Morris, who learned old-time and early country music from family gatherings in Western North Carolina. His love for the old train songs, old ballands and cowboy songs he heard as a boy compelled him to create the ICR label, which is recognized by the national park system as a solid producer of interpretive and educational albums.
