Overdone, again and again.......2007-01-15

Ferron is one of my favorite musicians of all time. I am used to her own personal style. This CD is comprised of songs I grew up with. After reading her explanation of this CD on her insert; I understand why these songs were chosen. Well done, yet disappointing to a Ferron "purist."

Assisted with some of the finest musicians from the Bay area and beyond, Ferron covers popular tunes she grew up listening to and pining over. "Walk Away Renee" will break your heart; then "Needles and Pins" will set you dancing. There is a hidden cut at the end of the CD...listen for it. There is joy and, metaphorically, laughter throughout this wonderful album. The CD benefits the Institute for Musical Arts in Bodega, CA. Fun, fun, fun!
