5 out of 5 stars Adriana is the BEST!!! all over again.......2007-06-04

I have 3 of the 4 CDs she has made, and each time she outdoes herself. El Camino is definitely one of the best CDs I have EVER heard. Being the smooth, sultry singer she is, she slides along other "earthly" boundaries, adding spice to each song. My favorite songs are "Undercover Love", "Hey Now", and "All for Love", but every last song is good. If you got Kismet or Nomadic, and if you like the song Midnight in Bahia, she has a song similar to that on El Camino. The only problem that I have about this CD is how Midnight in Bahia, and her song Blue Bird, somehow combined and got Blue Bird in Bahia. I felt like she could not come up with the words for this song, and combine the names of two other songs (The song is lovely, though). Get this CD, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!

5 out of 5 stars Love Her.......2007-05-23

Adriana, Im glad you're back. This girls voice melts me. Undercover Lover and All For Love are my fav's but I leave the CD in the deck and I dont skip any track as the same with Nomadic. Adriana takes a while to put out new music and you can see the quality of not rushing to just give us anything like many artists do. Adriana just keep giving us your heart and soul.

5 out of 5 stars "Calling Me".......2007-05-18

is exactly what this CD does to me. I put it in and just let it play and play and play! On this, her third effort, Adriana returns to her roots and a sound that is similar to her debut CD. And the results are wonderful. I love all 12 tracks on this CD and the flow is fantastic. My favorites are "Hey Now," "Underneath the Stars," "Never Knew," "Undercover" and the one I've got on repeat play, "Calling Me." Her voice is beautiful and sexy at the same time. On this she's reminiscent of Patti Austin, Phyllis Hyman and once again, Minnie Riperton. This is music for that long drive up the coast with your lover. In fact, just load her three CD's in your car system (starting with Nomadic, then Adriana Evans, closing with this one) and see how the time will fly by. I just love this CD and recommend it to people who love smooth, classy, soul music.

5 out of 5 stars ADRIANA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! Get El Camino NOW!!!.......2007-04-05

I've loved Adriana since her self-titled album---after listening to Seein' Is Believin' I was hooked. She had a long hiatus until her next album Nomadic, and then we now El Camino. All of her albums are solid. Her first one is hard to beat, but after just a few days of straight-listening, I can safely say that El Camino is her best. Believe me, this is saying alot considering I love her earlier stuff so much as well!

It's hard to find a down track on El Camino. The music is tight, and Adriana's voice is on point as well. I'm still absorbing the lyrics, but i'm sure they're great as well.

Man, I'd love to see her live so much. She has a website, but it appears to not be up yet. The cd I got was an import and it took me a few weeks to finally get it, but it was well worth the wait and the extra $$.

Now, why Adriana is not a household name is beyond me. She's just so awesome. Her music is so layered and richly textured. She produces such solid stuff. The only way her name is going to get out there, is if we fans start spreading the word and making radio stations play her, and ask everyone to buy her stuff. So let's do it!!!

Adriana when are you going to tour?!?!

4 out of 5 stars A solid album, at last........2007-03-25

Welcome return to form for Adriana, this set being more soulful and in the style of her great debut.

"Hey now" is a bright shuffling dancer, "Calling Me" and "Never Kne"' are mid tempo floaters.

"Before You" is a slinky beat driven mid tempo foot taper which shows her vocals at their best, whilst "Underneath The Stars" and "Bluebird" are big beat mid tempo head nodders.

The funky dancer "Undercover Lover" and the shuffling mid tempo "All For love" are also highlights on this strong album.

Give this CD a spin, you will not regret !

I do hope that this fantastic album will be released VERY SOON in US !

4 out of 5 stars Portland.......2004-12-17

This guy's terrific. Some real Southern gothic stuff, barely sings, just drawls with a wisdom well beyond his years. But in response to the review below, Weaver was born in Oregon, moved around a lot and wound up in St. Paul.

Where did this "Alabama native" thing come from - Ben Weaver is well known in his "native" Minneapolis!
