About the Artist
Father Peter demonstrated musical acumen from the earliest ages, receiving an invitation to join the Vienna Boy's Choir at the age of 12. He also picked up guitar at an early age, developing an ear for modern folk/pop melodies, and has been influenced by the likes of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles. Living in Newport Rhode Island, home of the famous Newport Jazz Festival, gave Father Peter the opportunity to hear and even perform with many of the major folk, blues, and jazz musicians of the late 60's and early 70's.

Father Peter has an earthy, golden voice that speaks eloquently of his love and devotion to God. His rock tunes are lively and fun. "Glory to God" is a haunting Christmas song that will send shivers down your spine, it is so beautiful. The guitar melodies and the vocal harmonies draw you in easily and make you want to fall in love. The lyrics are fresh (never churchy)and moving, making God seem real and approachable. This CD is a favorite that I keep in my car, and these songs are ones that come to mind and voice when I'm in the shower or washing dishes or singing my children to sleep.

Father Peter Bowes CD is very moving. I really enjoy the simplicity of the songs, the raw heartfelt messages and the style. Overall, I would say the music sounds inspired and is reminicient of his first album.
