Eclectic and Amazing.......2006-02-05

I loved this mystical and eclectic album!
Highlighting my favorites: "Highway" is pretty self-explanatory what it's about; it's inspiring and easygoing. "Anything is Possible" is slower paced, calm and relaxing; it says to look around at one's surroundings once in a while. "Wait and See" is reflective, retrospective and talks about the most basic parts of life. The upbeat and cheerful "New Mexico" could make anyone want to go there. "Tomorrow" is lovely and steadily paced, though it's a bit mushy for my tastes. The slow and steady pace of "I Have Walked On Fire" helps build it up, not to mention its longer length.
Hippie philosophy and romanticism tends to be a common theme in this album, though I think tolerant people of all philosophies will love this album.

Amazing Music.......2003-10-30

Tree Leyburn's If I Showed you, is an amazing, magical album. "Personal Love" is a catchy song that reminds you of the kind of tunesmithing ability that someone like Sheryl Crow or Sarah McLachlan has. "New Year's Angel" is another catchy tune that at times sounds like a psychedlic flashback. And the first track, Dancing in the Moonlight, will never fail to lift your spirits and convince you all is well with the world. This is the kind of album that you will play over and over and keep wanting to hear again. Ms. Leyburn would have come out far ahead if I had to pay her a nickel for every time I played the CD instead of only purchasing it once. Between the intelligence and the respect for the human spirit in the lyrics, to the vocals and the music, this is a fascinating album that somebody, somewhere, ought to be playing on their radio station . . .

If I Showed You.......2003-09-04

I really believe that if a barracks full of lumberjacks really listened to the words of Tree's CD, "If I Showed You", they would put down their chainsaws forever. After listening to the cut, New Mexico, I wanted to go there right then. This is not a CD that you will listen to only once, you will find yourself setting you player to repeat forever. The second cut, Highway, makes me sad, because we have all been down that road, however Tree will 'get there'. Anyone with such a sweet and so very clear voice will get there. When you buy this CD of Tree's you will thank yourself many times over. Anything Is Possible.
