Humble Beginnings was a band that changed the lives of me and my friends in the late 1990s in Bergen County NJ, along with bands such as Lanemeyer, LWL, and Bigwig. They were fun, fast and sang of the difficulties we all face getting older. They had a difficult to find album called "We Wear Vans" or something. They used to play Archer Hall in my hometown of Allendale, and my older friends got me into their music...I can still remember an old friend who I'm no longer on good terms with's Humble Beginnings hoodie, and the resultant conversations that started me off on punk music. I owe HB big time.
