an uneven compilation.......2000-07-07

I bought this double cd because of several tracks that sounded interesting, including King Crimson's Robert Fripp, Rick Wakeman and Peter Hammill. The overall feel of this cd is in the new age, easy going music, and it contains quite a few good songs and arrangements, but at least 6 (out of 35) of them are completely out of context and have nothing to do here musically speaking.

This cd was conceived to raise funds for a Down's syndrome association and that is quite a nice goal, but very respectfully i think that including the frase "the sky goes all the way home" spoken by a girl member of this association in at least 6 songs really was a redundant mistake; it repeats itself over and over spoiling the music passages. As a fund raising cause, go ahead and cooperate buying it. Musically it is as good as any new age sampler.
