Editorial Reviews
LA Weekly, Dec. 2002
"Sandbloom works powerful, moody acoustic turf that shows his early R&B and soul influences..."

About the Artist
Kevin Sandbloom has been songwriting and fronting bands in Los Angeles for several years. His music can be heard on the Once In The Life soundtrack which features songs from two different bands, The Congregation, an eight-peice old-school soul group prominent on the L.A. scene through the late nineties and Mockingbird, a smaller combo together for a few years after that.

Album Description
The early part of 2003 saw the release of Kevin Sandbloom's first full-length record, Blues For Bricktop, containing 12 songs all broken down to the basic guitar and vocal elements with the occasional instrumental and harmonic color. This format represents the songs' more personal nature in a setting that leaves the listener with no doubt that this is who Kevin Sandbloom is. His music is inspired by the classic soul and R&B of the late 60's and early 70's but is by no means limited to that genre. There are other influences working as well,Blues,Rock,Reggae and Hip-Hop being among them.
