Jose Maria was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal.In 1980 came to USA and now lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Album Description
Music with strong Portuguese roots but its really unique.I hear sounds from the Blue Ridge Mountains but also the Caribbean and the American West.Some songs are haunting,some driven,some evoking vivid images of a pulsing sea.It is music such as I never heard. (Lew White)

Soothing Melodies.......2004-04-09
This cd is just wonderful! The the singer blends his voice beautifully with the strings, keyboard and percussions, and everything comes together in a way that relaxes you makes you feel good. I thoroughly enjoy listening to this artist; the style and sound he produces make me want to play the recordings over and over.
